Dimitis Nassios Bio
Dimitris Nassios was born in Volos, in 1980. At the age of 7, he begun classical guitar lessons with Thanasis Plaregas. In 1994 he enrolled in Karkalas' conservatoire, where he was taught by Nansy Hatzi and in 1997 received his classical guitar degree, graded "excellent" unanimously by his examiners. He continued having lessons with Nancy for another 3 years and received his classical guitar diploma in 2000, also graded "excellent" by unanimous vote.
He has been playing the electric guitar since 1997, as a member of both school bands and friends' bands and has given several live performances in the city of Volos. In 2005 he started taking electric guitar lessons with Ioannis Anastasakis, in order to improve/expand his playing technique and study this instrument in greater depth. He enrolled in the Registry of Guitar Tutors (RGT) of the London College of Music in 2005 and in June 2007 received his electric guitar degree with distinction, having excelled in all the intervening levels.
Since 2002 he is working as both classical and electric guitar instructor in 4 conservatoires of Volos, working on music technology, composing music, recording music as a sessional guitarist and continues his studies for the Teacher's Diploma of RGT.
