About Me

Northumbrians for Peace is a group of people opposed to the use and production of nuclear weaponary. It formed in the 80s through a joint concern from locals, yet sadly collapsed in the very early 90s due to lack of funds/campaigns. Now however, as a result of the governments plans to renew our Trident Missile programme, meetings began and action has been taken. Although meetings only take place as and when needed, any interest is appreciated and questions can be answered. The sooner the country realises how illegal, immoral and dangerous our nuclear weapons are, the better. It is a difficult subject, that not enough people fully understand, don't be ashamed to ask.
