alisa rose

Violinist Alisa Rose is a member of the Real Vocal String Quartet, Keisa, Homespun Rowdy, 49 Special, and A.J. Roach and the Strange Pilgrims. Alisa performed recently at the San Jose Jazz Festival, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Strawberry Music Festival, Kerrville Music Festival, Ferry Music Festival, and has soloed with the CMC and Sheboygan Orchestras. She has also recorded and/or performed with Mars Arizona, Matt Bauer, Rachel Ries, Nels Andrews, ALO, and Bauhaus. Alisa’s duo Keisa, recently became an affiliate of the San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music. Keisa performed in Carnegie Hall in 2007 as a participant in a Professional Training Workshop with Emanuel Ax. Alisa has performed chamber music with Jean-Michel Fonteneau, Paul Hersh, Martha Katz, Jodi Levitz, Bettina Mussumeli, Axel Strauss, Ian Swensen, Tanya Tompkins, and Eric Zivian.Alisa received her Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Chamber Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Camilla Wicks and Bettina Mussumeli.She currently teaches privately and runs a San Francisco Conservatory of Music outreach program for young disadvantaged violinists.
