Just a Whole Lot of Nothing

About Me

I don't know what to say. I'm an interesting character For more information visit.JEN4LOTR.BLOGSPOT.COMThat was my first blog, though I haven't touched it in a long while. The links are really more interesting than the main "character" page.

My Interests

.. width="425" height="350" ..I'm a performer and an artist. I feel almost like the arts are embeded in me, they're in my blood, part of who I am. If I hadn't decided to pursue them I would have gotten into geology (digging fossils, staring at rocks, etc.), I love driving...just to clear my head, traveling - especially road trips. Though, I'll be honest, I'd be nervous to really travel the world with out being multi-lingual. Nature is also in my blood, and is the biggest reason I didn't make it in New York City, I need the trees, the water, ...less people:) I'm also a very physical person so working out is on the top of the priority list. My biggest self-issue has always been my weight and now, finally, it's all coming off!!! The little things in life are the best to me....things like.... listening to the sound of a little league baseball game in the evening, sharing a glass of wine with myself and good music and an empty canvass, hot baths by candlelight, reading reading reading...books are a definite love, day dreaming, sex...naturally, going to movies, writting - whether it be scripts or books or songs or poems or short stories, playing my guitar, playing with my baby: Thorn - the best and most wonderful kitty, I'm a natural disaster junkie:) I would be perfectly happy making them my life if I had the mind to wrap around the science....alas... and many other things that I just can't think of right now..... oh!!! I can't believe I left out COFFEE!! One of my number one passions in life. Someday, fate willing, I will have my own coffee house. An old house turned coffee shop, right on the beach. I'll brew the most wonderful coffees, from all over the world, and sell art from the locals. I'll make my own chocolates and manufacture my own bath soaps. I'll create that environment where anyone and everyone can feel at home. It may be a pipe dream, but it's also a beautiful one.

I'd like to meet:

Shakespeare, Jane Austen and Leonardo Da Vinci. Unfortunately this means I have to die. So I can wait.I wouldn't mind meeting my own Mr. Darcy, the whole idea of having someone around who loves, respects, and worships you as you would him..... sounds almost too good to be true, huh?In terms of really hot men that I would love to meet (even though I'd probably just blush and make an ass out of myself) Edward Norton, Colin Firth, James Mcavoy (spelled wrong?), Johhny Depp, Josh Lucas, Ralph Fiennes, Liev Schreiber (did I butcher his name?) and Elijah Wood (wait, I've already done that!) adopt your own virtual pet!

Music:

Anything and everything. Music is the coffee of life:) An inspiration in any situation.

Movies:

It's virutally impossible to list all of the movies I love. I'm a movie-holic. I'm not a severe critic of movies... just of the actors:)

Television:

Don't watch it anymore. Don't even own one with channels. But when I used to watch: Favorite comedy = Will and Grace. Favorite Drama = West Wing. FUNNIEST VIDEO ON YOUTUBE!!!!!

Books:

Lord of the Rings. Tolkien = God. Harry Potter series. Rowling = Goddess. Also: love Jonathan Safran Foer, all Jane Austen novels, Plato's works (especially Symposium), most Anne Rice novels, I've developed an obsession with travel books (since I am financially unable to travel myself) ....really, I'm an avid reader so there's no way to list all the authors I love. Again, I'm not a severe critic, it's hard for me to find fault in art. One of the incredible things about books is not only do they take you away from whatever troubles you might be facing, but they are the inside of another person. It's like opening up a persons brain and reading it in a language that you can understand, even interpret for yourself. Books are..... glorious.

Heroes:

Anyone who stands for and by what they believe in. Anyone with the courage to follow their dreams. Anyone who puts love before money. Anyone with the frame of mind to see the stars while they're lying in the dirt. If you want specifics: Stanislovsky, Chekhov, Ibsen, Shakespeare (duh), Austen, Churchill, Paul Robeson, Dali, Renoir, Monet, Rowling, Tolkien (bigger duh), Ray Charles, Sondheim, Plato, Aristotle, actors like Tom Hanks and Johnny Depp, any many, many more.
