Budi Garcia

(short)Born in Itumbiara, Goiás in 1969, Budi Garcia lived fifteen years in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, where he started to learn to play the guitar. Budi then moved to Goiânia, in the heartlands of Brazil, and became a professional musician. His playing grew out of the legacy of seasoned jazz guitar players and of his lifelong passion for Brazilian music. Established in Campinas since 1989, the experienced musician led his own jazz groups, as well as it participated as sideman in so many others. Budi is also an arranger, and he has performed with Raul de Souza, Toninho Horta and Paulo Moura. His first solo album is titled "Azul Marin". (J. M. Scabello)
