About Me

Brandon Scott Nixon B.K.A. Twelv was born in Atlanta, Ga. on July 29, 1985. He is the son of Harry Nixon Jr., who had his time in the limelight, when he was the mascot for the Atlanta Braves "Rally" and Atlanta Hawks "Harry the Hawk". He also has sung and played with a lot of different groups, such as Cameo, Outkast's band "Whild Peach", and The Mighty Clouds of Joy. Basically, Brandon was born into the musical life. While living in Oakland, Ca., he sang his first church solo at the age of 5. Although, moving around to different states, Brandon stayed into music. But, it wasn't until he landed in Pensacola, Fl., that he got his first opportunity to showcase his talent. He started writing his own songs at the age of 15. He joined chorus, while attending Pensacola High School. His instructor, the late Mr. Webb always pushed him to stay focused in his music. At the age of 16, he joined a group of rappers on a label known as "Platinum House Records". It was there, he dropped first song "I'm Willin'", going under the name Lil' B. The song was recorded the very same night that he was signed onto the label. He performed the single at a concert held on the Pensacola Fairgrounds featuring Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs N' Harmony. He also performed the song quite a few times at a local event known as the " Summer Bash". At the age of 17, he moved back to Atlanta to finish his last year of school, while staying with his father. While in Atlanta, he continoued writing songs. There, he attended Southside High School and was given the chance to participate in an a talent show called "Apollo at Southside". He tried his hardest, but didn't succeed to win. This did not discourage him. At the near time of graduation, he was once again given the chance to grace the stage and audience with his presence, by singing the late Luther Vandross' "Here and Now", during the senior play. This play was performed for the freshman sophomore class. Then, performed again for the junior class. Then, performed a final time for his 2003 senior class. At each performance, he was given a standing ovation for the song. On May 18th, a proud father, hugged his son after graduation and helped pack bags. Brandon was headed back home to Pensacola, to live with his mother. After arriving home, he got a call. Some of the former members of Platinum House broke off and started their own label known as "10-Ten Records". Not long after being back, was he back in the studio recording a song entitled " Rain Down On Me" with them. The song was given play on Mobile, Al. radio station 93 BLX. He went on to perform this song and another he wrote entitled "Find Our Love", from the groups compilation album "10-Ten", under the group name the "Bubble Up Click". At the age of 18, while under 10-Ten Records, he changed his name to "B-12". While with the Bubble Up Click, he opened shows for T.I. in Mobiles club "Big Daddy's" and Crime Mob at Pensacola's own "Platinum Club". During this time he was introduced to Charles Andrews A.K.A. "Hurricane Skinny Mack", now known as "H-Cane: The Angel of Hip-Hop" by his friend, producer, and Bubble Up member Chris Grier, brother of the C.E.O. Before long, Brandon branched off from the click and joined with H-Cane at "H-Cane Entertainment, a self created label. Here, H-Cane took him under the wing and showed him how to produce and record. He also helped him perfect his writing skills and introduced him to a different era of music. Now, after 5 years of friendship, he is standing firm with H-Cane, on a quest to bring a new genre of music known as "Next Generation R&B" and is determined to showcase his talent to the world, for others to see. He is currently working on his debut album "Twelv O' Clock", under the artist name "Twelv". The album is scheduled to drop sometime between January and March of next year. He says he titled the album "Twelv O' Clock", because............ "IT'S HIS TIME TO SHINE".----------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------HELLO!!! !!!!!!------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------- WHAT'S GOOD MYSPACE.
