[ Copy this | Start New | Full Size ] I started playing mandolin in the family's bluegrass band at about age 5, graduated to guitar at about 7 or 8, and continued playing bluegrass until about age 15. At 15 my brother James and I formed our first club band and it's been nonstop ever since. In addition to playing guitar and mandolin, I have learned to play several other instruments along the way including harmonica and trumpet. But the biggest change happened in 1990, when James called and said he needed a bass player for his road band. Since then, I have been the local "gun for hire" type on bass or six string. I have "fronted" several bands and played with several locally popular groups including Wildheart, Positive Country, Sweetwater and the Jones 3. Over the years,I have had the privlidge of opening shows for several major artists including Highway 101, Exile, Dan Seals, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, and Keith Urban to name a few. I am currently on break from the club circuit but you never know what could happen if the right oppurtunity was to come along... ..
