.. .. ..Nick France Bass Guitarist Folk Rock Rhythm & Blues R&B......

Nick France began playing bass guitar just after leaving school in 1980 and went on to sing and play in a series of local bands throughout the 80's. The first shot at major stardom was with the ill fated Birmingham based "Dreddin' The Weddin' " working with top Midlands drummer Pete Isherwood and breathing the same air as The Who and The Style Council for a short time.

For most of the 1990's he was bassist / vocalist with the acclaimed Birmingham based folk/rock outfit "Dewberry Firkin". Over the past 25 years Nick has appeared in bands that have regularly supported circuit favourites including "The Steve Gibbons Band", "John Otway", "The Trevor Burton Band", "Kerfuffle", "Quill", "Soul Survivors" and even played a Monster Raving Looney Rally with "Screaming Lord Sutch". More recently Nick was lead vocalist and bassist with Staffordshire based pop/rock band "The Special Stuff".

Nick is now the regular singer/bassist with Leicester based folk / rock giants "The Fox Hat", West Midlands based "The Rub" rock & roll, rhythm & blues band with Pete Isherwood and Gary Howl and is currently working with Birmingham rock band "Jewels" and Coventry based folk-rock band "Bellatryx". 2008 was a great year including two premier Fox Hat gigs with a Burns Night for the Officers of RAF Brize Norton and entertaining the Duke and Duchess of Westminister at their annual event on their Cheshire estate.
