About Me

Jonathan is nearsighted and indecisive with really unruly hair (it's growing out) and an insane vertical leap. He enjoys karaoke (though he is tonedeaf), soy lattes (especially at La Boulange), and experimenting at the bar (with vodka and tequila). Eleven former piercings, five current tattoos (number six is on the way) and at least eight bars of dark chocolate in his refrigerator at all times (it's down to four at the moment). Jonathan often carries his convictions on his shoulders and wears his heart on his sleeves; consequently, he would tell you that he needs to get better at rolling up his sleeves at the dinner table and in the presence of certain girls.

Jonathan's current dream is to dance with Feist on stage as she sings "One Evening"... actually, that's been a dream of his for a while, along with growing a full beard, flipping from a three-legged dog to the bridge (in one, confident motion) in yoga class and having a cylon reside in his subconscious.

His favorite number is 88. He prefers ranch dressing instead of ketchup with his french fries. His current musical obsession is The Frames, which was bound to happen, apparently later than sooner.

There is certainly something to the idea that "music influences the way you're feeling." I've consumed large amounts of tech house and rock in place of the usual slowcore and bossa nova tunes... here'...

blissful burden.

It's been a dramatic week to say the least... between work, classes, a few late nights drinking and holiday cards, I'm pretty burned out. Luckily, I'm on my way to Vancouver to recover this coming wee...

new years.

The past few months have been a blur, likely due to work and class. I can't say that I'm not enjoying it, but having to work six or seven days a week just to stay on top of everything isn't really fun...

the boy who ran away.

During an interview, Cameron Crowe said that, instead of writing in a journal, he liked to make a mix tape every month -- he could listen to it years later and remember how he was feeling at the time....

i'm your number one fan.

I'm devastated by Alison Kelly's dismissal on Project Runway. Didn't Vincent commit enough 80's-inspired sins to earn Heidi's wrath? (By the way, how many times did he say, "(My dress) gets me off"......
