I am the terror that flaps in the night! I am the wrong number that wakes you at 3am...

About Me

At times I feel like a big kid. Other times I feel like an adult. And other times I feel like the whole world is my oyster. And I can only eat oysters with a lotta lemon. Thus I strive to find enough lemons to make my oysters taste quite delicious. What was I talking about again? Basically, I'm just your friendly neighborhood gaymer, who's always bouncing around, when I'm not glued to the couch with pals, watching the latest this or that. I'm the guy in the corner, reading the latest comic book added to my collection while a major house party ensues. Or I'm the center of attention at the same party, wowing folks with my random facts and trivia. I flucuate and I ennunciate. But I sometimes forget to do the latter and do the former way more. I am one of the future teachers of america. You have been warned. Home | Browse | Search | Invite | Film | Mail | Blog | Favorites | Forum | Groups | Events | Videos | Music | Comedy | Classifieds

My Interests

You might say I'm a comic book collector. Most would say I'm a comic book fanatic. But that doesn't sound as cool. But considering I did my Master's Thesis on Comics, the latter may apply more. I'm into going out and about, getting lost (you find the most interesting spots that way), reading, dabbling in writing, writing in my various journals, watching movies opening night, gaming, getting lost in crowds, then finding a good spot to observe the folks in said crowds, and just plaing hanging out. I love being around other people, even when I'm in my "Need to be by myself" mode. I may need to be by myself, but that doesn't mean I want to be alone.

I'd like to meet:

If you're nifty, or have ever been accused of being nifty, chances are we'll get along fine. A sense o' humour is way important in my book o' traits to have in friends. In this day and age, having a sense of the funny ha-ha is the only thing that can help you retain sanity, even if it seems like you have none left. As for more than potential friends, well, they say love is blind, so why not give it a shot and say hey. You might just find that I surprise you.

Music:

If it has a good beat, I'll listen to it. If you recommend it, I'll listen to it. Whether I like it or not is anyone's guess. I like to think I have an ecclectic taste when it comes to tunes, from Pop to Rock to Show Tunes to Dance to Alternative to Blues to Jazz to Stephen Lynch, and everything in between. I'll pop 'em into Serendipitous Shadow Stalker of Hearts and Affection (My Ipod...Shadow for short) and I'll give it a shot.

Movies:

Serenity, X2, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Spider-Man 1 & 2, Neverending Story, Transformers the Movie, The Matrix, Selena, Jason Vs. Freddy, Harry Potter, Pixar Pics, and countless others.

Television:

Though not as much a couch potato as I used to be, I'm still addicted to these nifty shows: LOST, Heroes, Ugly Betty, Supernatural, Drawn Together, Smallville,...and that's pretty much it for current shows. Past shows that I still love to this day are: Buffy, Angel, Roswell, Felicity, Dawson's Creek (big WB fan), Firefly, Chespirito, Surface, Fairly Odd Parents, Kim Possible, Robot Chicken, Invader Zim, Queer as Folk, and random others.

Books:

Vorocious reader used to be my middle name. It was odd when people would say my name than "Vorocious Reader" and then my last name, but I soon got used to it. Lately though, my comics have taken over my reading time. Trying to work on it, though. Neil Gaiman, J.K. Rowling, Laurell K. Hamilton, Scot Westerfield, James Howe, and whatever tickles my fancy at the time.

Heroes:

Bastian, Johnny Z, Shadow...wait, real heros? Not my gaming characters? Hmm....whoops. My familia is a great inspiration to me. I mean, if they didn't drive me crazy growing up, I may never have left L.A. to come here. But when I did get here, they supported me, emotionally, spiritually, and oh so importantly, financially. Now that I'm all grown up, I plan to return the favor.
