So put your backpack on your shoulder. Be the good little soldier. It's no different when you're old

About Me

I like to write my signature. One day I want to write on my signature on a book that I have written. In the meantime, I would enjoy writing my signature on anything of yours. Just ask.

My Interests

Folk music. Outsider folk/rock music. Baseball (Go Cubbies!!). Literature. Gnomes. Crossword puzzles.

I'd like to meet:

My usual suspects - Bob Dylan, Vincent Gallo, Fidel Castro. And for this particular update, I'll add Wes Anderson. He is the best filmmaker of the last 20 years, and one of the greatest ever. His films are full of rich, layered dialogue; beautiful, idyllic scenery; and the most amazing music.

Music:

Vincent Gallo. Bob Dylan. Jandek. Little Wings. Devendra Banhart. Andrew Bird. Jose Gonzalez. James Blunt (and I'm not ashamed at all - I love his voice, and I will not apologize for it!!). Nick Drake. Cat Stevens. Van Morrison. Do you play guitar and sing pastoral folk songs in an odd manner? If yes, then you can probably insert your name here as well.

Movies:

Superbad is the funniest film released in years. Classic.

Television:

I'm getting ready for the new seasons of Scrubs and The Office. And for some reason, I have gotten into House recently (but not the other Steph shows thankfully).

Books:

I'm in a reading lull right now. But I'm always in search of a great, enriching read.

Heroes:

I've always admired the life of Roberto Clemente. He has been a hero of mine for most of my life. But if a hero's duty is to inspire, then my heroes are Steph, Mom, Dad, Sis, Poppy, and Granny. Those are the people who have inspired me and helped to make me the person I am today. And I am eternally thankful for each of them.

My Blog
