LYLAS

In the summer of 2006, the idea for LYLAS was concieved as a series of workshop programs under Miss Coppin 2006's events during her reign. The idea was then expanded to create a group on campus to help build the population of active women student leaders on campus. On December 7, 2006, an interest meeting was held and 4 days later the first meeting was held. The current officers were selected and the club then became an official organization at Coppin State University on December 18, 2006. The organization is comprised of 40+ members working towards the goal of self improvement, community outreach, and campus leadership.
