"I ain't going to lie. I used to go around thinking it was cute that I couldn't cook. I learned real quick how wrong I was. I'm not saying that it's a women's duty, but finding (keeping) a mate is like finding (keeping) a job, the more skills you have, the better off you'll be. I was happy to hear that the authors' goal wasn't to encourage women to be chained to the stove, rather, the book is intended to get women to invest time in themselves and their relationship. "This cookbook has the stated goal of uplifting women by helping them use food to get the man of their dreams. Which means this is not Betty Crocker cuisine. More about wooing then seducing, these recipes are serious comfort food. And don’t worry, the authors also offer advice for what to do after the romance blossoms."

"Skills, that's what this book is about. I never heard of anyone doing anything well, without having the skills to accomplish what they set out to do. The Get 'Em Girls give you the tools to set the perfect table, select the perfect wine and cook the perfect meal for whatever the occasion requires. Great tips for the newbie cook and great recipes for anyone who wants to impress. I also liked the non-cooking writing, I really like these women, and they have brains and heart. Enjoy!!"

"Hallelujah, someone has finally published a cookbook that is easy to use. The Official Get 'Em Girl's Guide is wonderful, recipes are simple and easy to follow, food is delicious, and the extra pointers for completing a meal including wine and ambiance are extraordinary. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

"Good food and good conversation will have a lasting impression with any man. Cooking for me is very relaxing and doesn't make me feel less sexy or less independent…To all you "hamburger helper girls" a man remembers a good home cooked meal longer than anything else."
