The first new material from MAC since 2005's acclaimed 'Actions' album finds them in typically hook-laden form. Having built up a dedicated following with 150+ live shows with the likes of Funeral For A Friend, Alkaline Trio and Fall Out Boy (with whom they released a split single) the album saw them getting a firm grip on their own identity, providing a definitively British alternative to the tidal wave of homogeneous emo washing in from across the Atlantic.
Scots indie / emo / whatevercore quartet ORKO have been honing their songwriting skills for the last couple of years, building up a fanbase through dynamic live shows and mastering the art of melding huge, heavy riffs with unforgettably poppy, life-affirming melodies. Their debut album 'Creating Short Fiction' soon followed, garnering glowing reviews from the likes of Drowned In Sound, Punktastic and Rock Midgets, who declared the record "One of the best debuts you're likely to hear in the whole of 2006".
