About Me

Here to have fun and hopefully meet some cool people

My Interests

Playing music with friends, golf, tennis, hanging at the beach, black and white photography, traveling, and flying airplanes (although I gave it up temporarily because it's so !..$% expensive).

I'd like to meet:

People that make me laugh and don't take life too seriously

Music:

Favorite Bands: Which One's Pink? (www.whichonespink.com), L.A. based tribute to the music of Pink Floyd, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Doors, Led Zeppelin - basically all classic rock.Love ALL kinds of music - lately I'm getting more and more into ethnic/world music. In my next life I want to learn the duduk and sitar.Instruments Played: Piano/keys, guitar, bass, trumpet, and air drums.

Movies:

Caddyshack, Easy Money, Blues Brothers, Dirty Harry, Blazing Saddles, The Godfather, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill, Taxi Driver, Full Metal Jacket, Hard Eight, Boogie Nights, Rushmore, Fargo, The Big Lebowski, Lost in Translation, Napoleon Dynamite, Amelie, A Very Long Engagement, Harold and Maude.

Television:

TV shows today pretty much suck - can't think of one that I like, except for Conan when Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is on. I like all the old '70s and '80s shows. My faves are Green Acres, Lancelot Link - Secret Chimp (very obscure show), and old SNL stuff. Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network is not too bad either.

Books:

Anything that I don't have to read for a grade!!! Seriously, all the reading for grad school and work has totally killed my interest in books for awhile. If I had to choose one book it would be Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, otherwise anything by Hemingway, John Irving, James Ellroy, and L.A. crime novels by Michael Connelly.

Heroes:

Gandhi, JFK, Henri Matisse,George Harrison (my favorite Beatle), David Gilmour, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, SRV, EVH,Samuel L. Jackson, Clint Eastwood, Ed Harris, Steve Buscemi, Bill Murray, Robert DeNiro, Harvey Keitel, Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, Francis Ford Coppola, Stanley Kubrick.
