About Me

"The Erinys" has gained radio play in the following states: California, Canada, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, and Wisconsin
"The Erinys" is not a band; it is an album. It is Vander Boegh's first major vision to be heard in its intended form. Mastered by Mike Bozzi (Nine Inch Nails, 50 Cent, Smashmouth) of Bernie Grundman Mastering, and accompanied by a 20 page libretto, this independently produced CD holds its own against the majors in both sound and presentation. Heralded by music publications all over the world, and gaining radio play across America, "The Erinys" has won over a growing leigon of fans, and has kickstarted Vander Boegh's musical career as a dominant, catchy, and poignant songwriter. His second album, "Blood Red", will be completed and released in early 2008.
Matthew C. Vander Boegh holds a Master of Arts in Communication, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication. His album "The Erinys" was his masters thesis, tackling the philosophical justification of violence and revenge. A teacher of communication, Vander Boegh has guest lectured in various graduate, undergraduate, and high school settings, lecturing on the dissapearance of important social messages from modern music. Vander Boegh teaches at Boise State University, in Boise Idaho.

5 vocalists, 17 musicians, 15 tracks, 20 page libretto. 26 strings and a battery of drums. 50 minutes of hard rock, spiced with tinges of metal and dark ambiance. This is a rock opera that breaks the typical genre conventions.
