"The Yankees belong to George Steinbrenner and the Dodgers belong to Manifest Destiny, but the Red Sox, more than any other team, belong to the fans." -- Steve Wulf, Sports Illustrated
"Follow your dreams no matter what. No matter how old you are or how young you are, you should be living your wildest fucking fantasies. That's the only reason we're on this planet." -- Jared Leto
My friends call me "Thrashlee", but you may call me Ashlee, Ash, Smash du Fromage, etc. Die-hard Boston Red Sox fan (and not of the bandwagon persuasion, either). My only request for my 21st b-day in April of 2004 was for Boston to win the World Series. Looks like I got my wish times two because they've just won their second WS championship in 4 years! I'm also an artist. Going to school for graphic design and hoping to get into comic book illustration or animation. Can't think of anything more kickass in life than drawing comic books. I also design tattoos for my friends.
Much Echelon Love to everyone I've met because of 30STM, especially Ms. Dawnya and Takola.
David "Fez" Martins ~ 08.21.82 - 08.19.07 ~ HORNS UP! KEEP IT METAL!!!
Fez, you were my first friend at S&S and you definitely made work awesome. You introduced me to Iron Maiden, made sure I was playing my bass guitar as much as possible, and made me look forward to Hockey Fridays at the park. Regardless of your struggles, you always had a smile for everyone. You made people you had just met feel as though you'd known them for years and that's something not many people on this earth can do. I'll miss that. Teach the rest of the angels how to rock, Fez. You really are El Fez, Luchador Magnifico. I love you and I'll see you on the other side.
"If the people we love are stolen from us, the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them. Buildings burn...people die...but real love is forever." - Sarah, "The Crow"
Danielle Christine Soares ~ 09/13/84 - 02/11/06 ~ FOREVER YOUNG...
Goodbye, my beautiful Danielle. You rocked more than you could ever imagine, and your strength serves as a reminder that no matter how bad things get, a smile should never fade. I love you, girl. I'll see you on the other side...
SOME STUFF I LOVE:
This explains it all:
To think that I used to scoff at my friends back in 2001 when they told me that I really needed to read those books. My initial thought was, "Yeah right, guys. How can a kids' book get people in their late teens/early twenties as hooked as you are?!" But eventually I gave in. The minute I finished Sorcerer's Stone, I officially became a hooked one. I couldn't wait to see what Harry, Ron, and Hermione were going to do next. Thus began the next six years of my life. On Friday, 07.20.07, I attended my first (and sadly, last) midnight book party. And on Saturday, 07.21.07, I joined people from all over the world in turning that last page with what was a mix of sadness and gratification. J.K. Rowling truly is a genius, and I'm glad I got to grow up with Harry.
Total comic book geek and proud of it! Been reading them since I was 9 and I will not (much to my mom's dismay) sell my collection for anything. Some of the stuff I read: * X-Men * Spider-Man * Soulfire * X-23 (both miniseries) * Shrugged * Runaways * Iron and the Maiden * Danger Girl * Gen 13 * Fathom * Gargoyles * Dead @17 * The Umbrella Academy
I LOVE The Hills!!!
I am also a Grey's Anatomy junkie.
I miss My So-Called Life . Thank God for the DVDs!!!
Third Eye Blind. They've been my all-time favorite band since I first heard "Semi-Charmed Life" when I was 14 years old, and it was like I found myself. Nowhere else had I ever heard such honesty and feeling in the lyrics to songs and I don't think I ever will. Their music really is the soundtrack to my life.
30 Seconds To Mars. As you can probably tell by now, I'm a fan. Or I should say, I am ECHELON!!! They are the most fan-oriented band I've ever seen and the most amazing group of guys.
