About Me

Here are some clips of shows and performers I really like. Getting to know my passions tells a lot about who I am as a person. Here's an example of just how cheesy I am. Here's my favorite number from "High School Musical"!!Here's a show that there's a lot of hype over, but for once I must say it's AMAZING! "Wicked" is a great show to excite people about the world of musical theatre. value="http://www.youtube.com/v/WWhLLiwTnpg" ....So I have lots of crazy interest, but I must say I want to be a quick change artist ever since I saw these two on America's Got Talent. But where do you study such a great art? If I knew I'd be there, but for now I'll just have to enjoy their performance.Back to the wonderful world of musical theatre. A show about dancers, but can touch the heart of any performer. A Chorus Line is essentially an audition and everything it takes to truely make it in the business. It takes commitment, hard work, determination, some luck, but in the end all you can say is, "God I Hope I Get It."While I love musical theatre, I also adore the world of children's entertainment. Sheri Lewis has always been an inspiration to me. She made a sock puppet come to life and touch the heart of millions. I dream someday to positively impact the lives of children as she did for so many years with my own children's television show. Here's my favorite number in all the musical theatre arena. It's no big suprise that it's an uptempo. "You Can't Stop The Beat" from "Hairspray" captures everything I love about the Broadway stage and dream someday to be in this show. Another performer I just can't admire enough is Carol Channing. She just keeps going and I hope to never lose the drive, love, and passion for performing that she still has. It's inspiring to hear how young she feels.I never thought about working on a Cruise Line until recently, but after watching this scene from "The Love Boat" with Ethel Merman, Caral Channning, Della Reese, and Ann Miller, I say - sign me up right now!!Everyone is expecting to see something from the Broadway Musical "Peter Pan" on my page so here it is. Someday I'll be Kathy Rigby's understudy. All I need is a little faith and trust!I love Charlie Brown and Broadway so I adore "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown." This is one revival that should've stayed on Broadway a lot longer. Amazing cast, amazing show, just great fun!Chita Rivera, Julie Andrews, and Dinah Shore sing and dance into my heart. This was my era for television. I just saw Chita Rivera in "A Dancer's Life" and she was AWESOME!!! I've never been so inspired when leaving the theatre and hope someday I get to perform with her. The show was about Chita's life and every performer should see it. Everything about the show was flawless including her awesome dancers that were featured beautifully throughout the show! My hats off to the entire cast.I love puppets and Broadway so I just had to include a clip from "Avenue Q".

My Interests

I love going to theme parks. I've never been to one I haven't enjoyed! I also love going to see live theatre. Okay, it has to be musicial theatre. In my spare time I love working on my ventriloquism skills - yes it's good to know I have no problems talking to myself!

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet Kristen Chenoweth (I'm taller than her), Carol Channing, Carol Burnett, Cathy Rigby, Burnedette Peters, Hunter Foster, Matthew Broderick, Sutton Foster, Bea Arthur, Betty White, Julie Andrews, Michael Blevins, Chita Rivera, John Tartaglia, Jose Llana, Nathan Lane, George Huff, and Vanessa Williams.

Music:

I don't know much about the modern music in the world, but I love listening to music from the Vaudeville era and Original Broadway cast recordings and some revivals. My favorite shows include "Avenue Q," "Wicked," "Bye, Bye Birdie," "A Chorus Line," "Little Shop Of Horrors," "Urinetown," "Joseph," "King and I," "Nunsense," "Into the Woods," "You A Good Man Charlie Brown, "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," "Ragtime," and my all time favorite "The Sound Of Music." I just love it so much I got myself a pair of lederhosen as special yodeling pants!!

Movies:

My favorite movies include The Sound Of Music, Legally Blonde, Miss Congeniality, Chicago,Peter Pan, Princess Diaries, Mary Poppins, Pete's Dragon, Little Mermaid, Beauty and The Beast, Wizard Of Oz, Death To Smoochy, and Singin' In The Rain.

Television:

I don't watch much television, but I do love "Will and Grace" and "American Idol." I also enjoying catching re-runs of "Friends" and the "Golden Girls." It just reminds me of my days back in St. Olaf!

Books:

I love Children's Books. I just can't ever forget the lovable Grover in "The Monster at the End of This Book."

Heroes:

I have several heroes that have been a source of inspiration to me. They include Edgar Burgan, Will Rogers, Annette Funicello, Walt Disney, Vonda Van Dyke, Mr. Rogers, and Sheri Lewis.
