GRAVE025 - CLOAK/DAGGER - "WE ARE" 12"
"WE ARE," the first full-length offering from Richmond's CLOAK/DAGGER, blazes through thirteen abrasive blasts combining the vehement desperation of early '80s punk bands like BLACK FLAG and CIRCLE JERKS with an innovative proficiency akin to bands like HOT SNAKES or even THE WIPERS. Originally released on CD in 2007 by JADE TREE RECORDS, we couldn't be more stoked to finally get this record on vinyl where it belongs!!! And as with most GRAVE MISTAKE releases, we had to let Dan at Mammoth Sound work his magic, so this thing has been remastered from the original mix, making the raw and minimalistic production sound as killer as can be on wax! For those who have been patiently waiting on this release since last year, we promise it will be worth the wait!
GRAVE024 - IRON BOOTS - "2004 DEMO" 7"
Available on vinyl once again, eight ripping tracks of late 80's NY influenced hardcore that could be mistaken for long lost WARZONE "Don't Forget the Struggle..." outtakes. Originally released as a demo tape in 2004, these songs were then pressed to vinyl twice by two separate labels. Those pressings came and went, so after several years of this 7" being unavailable we decided to give it another go, simply because these songs shred.
GRAVE021 - DEEP SLEEP - "MANIC EUPHORIA" 7"
Two years, lineup changes, drugs, jail, and other assorted misfortunes can't keep a good band down. Baltimore's DEEP SLEEP are back with a vengeance, this time around firing out six more tracks of their brand of seething yet addictive punk rock. Expanding on the early southern california punk influences of the first record, and adding an extra dosage of ALL/Descendents style weirdness and catchiness to the picture, MANIC EUPHORIA shows a distinct evolution from their debut while maintaining all of the elements you grew to love in the first place.
GRAVE022 - CLOAK/DAGGER - "KAMIKAZES" 7"
CLOAK/DAGGER tear through the distinctive guitar fuzz driven track "KAMIKAZES" off of their 2007 "WE ARE" full length (vinyl version out spring 2008 on GRAVE MISTAKE) on the A-side, then a blistering rendition of the MODERN LOVER'S cut "SHE CRACKED" on the flip. Still out of control, and you've still got a problem.

On their second E.P. (and third vinyl output) California's NIGHTSTICK JUSTICE bring you five more discordant cuts of raw and explosive hardcore! If you were lucky enough to grab either their demo 7" or the MINDLESS VIOLENCE E.P. on WAY BACK WHEN / EVEN WORSE you have an idea of what to expect: fast and biting hardcore that combines a range of influences and elements from early boston and california hc to japanese hardcore. With this new E.P., NIGHTSTICK JUSTICE have honed their sound even tighter and cranked up the power and intensity times ten, pummeling you with a nonstop barrage of sonic insanity. If you are still standing by the end of this EP, their upcoming 12" on TANKCRIMES will be sure to finish the job this summer.
GRAVE020 - UNSEEN FORCE - "IN SEARCH OF THE TRUTH" CD
We've unearthed one hell of a hardcore gem with this one. Finally available once again after 22 long years is the official reissue of UNSEEN FORCE'S devastating LP from 1986 "IN SEARCH OF THE TRUTH." Hailing from none other than Richmond, VA, comprised of members of WHITE CROSS, HONOR ROLE, and 2000 MANIACS (and eventually FOUR WALLS FALLING and GWAR) ... UNSEEN FORCE made a name for themselves in their brief two year existence, playing countless shows both locally and nationwide, and releasing their 11 song monster of an LP.
This reissue (co-released with VICIOUS CIRCLE RECORDS) contains 35 songs total ... their long out of print IN SEARCH OF THE TRUTH full length (originally a one time, self released press of 500 copies) in it's entirety, a live soundboard set from their 1986 tour which features several unreleased tracks, and all of the tracks from the 2000 Maniacs (pre-UF band) 1984 demo. The LP songs were taken directly from the master reels, and all of the material was then remasterd by Dan Randall at Mammoth Sound (who has mastered records for 86 MENTALITY, DIRECT CONTROL, GOVERNMENT WARNING, WASTED TIME, and tons more). Coupled with the original lyric sheet insert and a ton of rare flyers and pictures from the band members' personal collections, this release has been given the proper re-issue treatment it deserved. You won't find any post-hardcore mid 80's progressive art rock garbage here; we assure you that this cd contains nothing but, fast, chaotic unadulterated 80's hardcore punk rock.
