Thomas Garnet (Gar) Gillies, tube amplification pioneer and founder of the Garnet Amplifier Company, has served countless rock 'n' roll bands in the '60s and '70s, most notably The Guess Who, before the company's closing in 1989 and then continued repairing amplifiers for years afterward. Many prominent artists still currently use Garnet amplifers such as Dallas Good (the Sadies), Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar/Grady), Jeff Martin (the Tea Party), and many local artists including our very own guitarist Marc Jaworski (Floor Thirteen)!
