Q. Will hair extensions damage my hair? A. As long as the hair extensions are applied properly and you take the proper care of them there should be no damage. A lot of this depends on you. It is best to sleep with your hair in a braid or pony tail. You need to be gentle with your hair. If you are used to just ripping a brush or comb through your hair fusions may not be for you. Using the correct brush helps and making sure your hair is kept tangle free and free flowing. OMG offers an extension brush for $10. Extensions are not hard to take care of you just have to be aware of them so you don't catch them with a comb or your fingers. Run your fingers between your bonds every day to keep your extensions separated. As long as you are gentle with your extensions you should be able to go 3-6 months with them in. -Brush once a day with an extensions super loop brush. -Don't go to bed with wet hair. -Wear a ponytail or braid to bed. -Hold your hair at the roots or base when combing. (this will keep tension off of your own hair) -Dry your bonds after washing and you can let the rest air dry.
Q. Can you tell me why "fusion" extensions are better than "sewing" extensions? A. When extensions are sewn on (as in a weave), there are several solid rows of hair going from ear to ear across the back of your head. It is very difficult to properly shampoo your hair under this and because it tends to be very thick it can take many hours to dry making for an unhealthy condition. Over the weeks it can be very itchy and flaky. Strand-by-strand fusions are attached to a tiny 1/4 " section of your hair and are completely free flowing. You can run your fingers between every extension which makes them the most comfortable, natural looking extensions. You are paying for the extra time it takes to apply and the high quality of the 100% human hair.
Q. How much does fusion extensions cost and what does “fusion extension” mean? A. The fusion extensions are a free flowing extension that uses a keratin bond to attatch individual strands of 100% REMY human hair to small sections of your own hair. Because they are human hair, you can color and style like your own. Fusion extensions can last up to 6 months depending on your manageability. The difference between sew/glue compared to fusions, is that with fusions, they aren't connected to the scalp like the glue/sew in, which allows for any up-do or style, minimal damage, and easy washing. If you consider the serveral months the fusions last compared to the estimated two weeks sew/glue in last, the cost would be the same. Paying twice a month for sew/glue in or paying one sum for fusions that last up to 6 months. Salons high price for fusion extensions start around $1000-$4500, depending on thickness/color/style/length.
How to care for your hair extensions 1. Keep the hair clean! You can wash your hair every other day, if not you should wash it at least once or twice a week with warm water. Wash your hair immediately after swimming, spa, exercise, and etc. When dirt and sweat accumulate, hair tangles. Too much leave-in conditioner and other hair care products will create a build up on the hair and will cause it to tangle faster. When shampooing, to create less tension on the hair, put your hair in a loose ponytail and carefully massage the shampoo onto the scalp and around the bonds. NEVER put conditioner on fusion bonds!!! Using cheap shampoo and conditioner is bad for extensions. I suggest PureOlogy Nanoworks or S Factor which are sulfate free and best for extensions.
2. When swimming, always wear a cap or keep your hair out of the water to prevent prolong exposure to chlorine or salt water (salt water can be very dangerous for extensions) which causes the hair to tangle. I recommend pre-wetting your hair with water then applying conditioner before swimming. This will keep it from absorbing too much chlorine or salt water. Always wash the hair right away with shampoo and conditioner after swimming in either type of water. When going to the spa, the hair should be brushed out completely and should be wrapped in a cold wet towel.
3. Make a couple of big braids or pony tails when going to sleep, swim, or exercise (please untangle the hair before making the braids). NEVER SLEEP ON WET HAIR! It can mat up.
4. Make sure you brush the 2-3 times hair daily with a super loop extension brush. Apply leave-in conditioner or detangling product so that the hair is soft and manageable. Use a wide-tooth comb to detangle. Again, DO NOT put conditioner on the bonds. Run your fingers between the bonds and brush your roots 2-3 times daily with a natural bristle brush for very fine hair, or a loop brush for thicker hair.
5. When using heating tools, be sure to not get too close to the bonds. This could cause them to reheat and the bond to become loose.

Q. What is Thermal Reconditioning?
A. Thermal Reconditioning is an innovative new technique from Japan to make frizzy, curly or wavy hair straight while preserving the hair's health. Almost always, Thermal Reconditioning will improve the hair's feel, softness and shine while making it completely manageable!
The treatment is performed as follows (hot method): 1. Assessing the hair type and condition. 2. Washing the hair. 3. Applying protein & Silk Infusions to the hair. 4. Applying the first phase solution (this is to cut the hair's "Cystine Bond" - the bond that holds the curl or wave pattern). 5. Testing to see when the bond is properly cut and is ready to rinse. 6. Rinsing the hair. 7. Applying more protein & Silk Infusion. 8. Blow drying all moisture out. 9. Ironing the hair in extremely small sections with a CHI iron. 10. Q. How long will the Thermal Reconditioning treatment last?
A. Whatever gets treated will remain straight forever and will not become curly or wavy again. The new growth that appears in the months following the treatment will need to be Thermally Reconditioned again. The new growth usually needs to be treated about four to six months after the initial treatment.
Some stylists will offer a "Partial Reconditioning Treatment" to cover the part line (where you normally part your hair)and around the hairline. This will make it possible to go longer between full treatments because the roots are less noticeable underneath.
Q. What kind of hair is suitable for Thermal Reconditioning?A. Most hair types except African (the hair is too fragile and cannot withstand the heat) will work well for Thermal Reconditioning

Q. What will my hair look like after the treatment?A. Your hair will be straight and will feel incredibly soft and silky with more shine.
Q. Will I still need to blow-dry my hair after the treatment?A. Sometimes yes, but just tussling the hairto get the moisture out. This usually takes about 4 to 5 minutes instead of 45 minutes! Some people will not need to blow-dry at all. In most cases you will not need any kind of brush.
Q. When I get the new growth retreated, do they do all the hair again?A. No, just the new growth is treated. The other hair is usually protected by using oil or conditioner so the solution will not saturate into the previously treated hair. If there is still curl or wave in the previously treated hair, solution can be applied, but for a shorter period of time.
Note: the retouch is often more difficult to perform, so it is strongly recommended that you go back to the same stylist as before.
Q. I have color in my hair, will that matter?A. Tints and semi-permanent hair color that deposit color are not harmful.
Q. Can I get Thermal Reconditioning if i have highlights?A. Highlights can be very tricky to work with. When hair is highlighted, usually bleach is involved. This makes the timing very difficult because some hair is lightened right next to hair that is not lightened. Therefore the hair may process fast where highlights are present and need much more time where the hair is dark and unprocessed.. So in order not to over process the light hair, the solution should be rinsed out and the darker, healthier hair may not take. A prior consultation with your stylist is necessary to determine if Thermal Reconditioning will be a good choice for those with highlighted hair.
Q. How much does Thermal Reconditioning cost?A. Typically from $300-$1000 depending hair length, thickness, amount of chemical processing present and of course, the stylist's experience.
Q. Why does it cost so much?A. The process usually takes from 3 to 6 hours straight to perform.
