W.K.G.B.

W.K.G.B. were formed,as is so often the case in jazz,at the last minute.The opportunity came about when there was a need for a quartet to play as part of the ELEPHEST arts festival in the elephant and castle area dec 2006.The saxophone player made the calls,calling Doug and Mihaly,both of whom he had worked with in the south london urban jazz outfit The DESCENDANTS,and Gary,a sensitive and musical drummer, he had guested with at Garys regular gig at the Island Arts Studio in Herne Hill,London.However they had never all met before,never mind play together,but an almost spiritual empathy developed on that first gig and partly because of the audiences more than enthusiastic reception the decision was taken to continue the project and W.K.G.B. was born.
