NO I WILL NOT SLEEP WITH YOU!!!! ~name that movie....

About Me

I The Soldier stood and faced God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining, Just as brightly as his brass. "Step forward now, Soldier , How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?" The soldier squared his shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't. Because those of us who carry guns, Can't always be a saint. I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was tough. And sometimes I've been violent, Because the world is awfully rough. But, I never took a penny, That wasn't mine to keep... Though I worked a lot of overtime, When the bills got just too steep. And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God, forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place, Among the people here. They never wanted me around, Except to calm their fears. If you've a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't, I'll understand. There was a silence all around the throne, Where the saints had often trod. As the Grunt waited quietly, For the judgment of his God. "Step forward now, you Soldier, You've borne your burdens well. Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets, You've done your time in Hell."_________My name is Michelle, I am 20 years old, I will turn 21 in Iraq.... I have been in the army only 20 months now but it has been long enough for me to realize I cannot escape it now. I am currently an intelligence analyst but I hate my job, I will reclass someday.... I have a HUGE crush on someone so no one here has a chance at anything more than just friends :) I have 6 tattoos, pictures of them in my photos section. I plan on getting more. I have over 600 dvds right now...and my collection grows almost daily. I have not seen every dvd that I own, but Iraq is giving me the chance to catch up. I don't like making plans with people. In my experience, people cancel last second more often than show up. I would rather have someone be a little more spontaneous. I am shy, believe it or not. Hanging out with large groups of people is not my thing. I am not a party girl. I work hard all day, and I want to do quiet relaxing things at night. I love to cuddle. Cuddling up with a movie is the best date in the world. I am Jewish but I don't believe any one religion out there has got it right.I don't think I'm better than you but if we dont click we dont click, and it happens, it's no one's fault! Things that really annoy me...when people make their profile on here private (how the hell am I supposed to decide if I want to let you add me if I can't read about you...I don't say yes based on looks), People who say "just ok?" when I'm telling them Im ok (I'm sorry that my life isnt so exciting that I have something to be excited about every day, sometimes a day is ok, that means not bad...), People that don't stop when I say stop (it doesn't even have to be sexual), People who don't understand that yes the military does make you work weekends and overtime and NO I can't call in sick, Guys who have a girlfriend/fiance/wife and try to mess around with me still, People who say I'm too hot to be in the army (looks have NOTHING to do with my job), military guys who treat me like i am not as good as them because of my gender (You may be strong and faster than me, I admit it, but I give this job 100% and no one can ask for more than that), Military guys who ask for nudes because they are deployed (I am deployed too for the next year and I really have no sympathy for you), and anti-America/anti-President Bush/anti-military people, I have no use for you and why the fuck are you still living in my country (Accept it, the government can't tell you everything because not everyone can keep a secret from the bad guys, our president isn't perfect but no one is, and I respect him as my commander). I'd like to meet:

I am looking to meet friends, deployment makes friends disappear real quick and it gets lonely over here. :) ____________________________________________________________ "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." Heroes:

All American Military personnel …especially the Airman who wrote this piece on Military Pay: Ms Cindy Williams (from Laverne and Shirley TV show) wrote a piece for the Washington Times, denouncing the pay raise(s) coming service members' way this year -- citing that the stated 13% wage was more than they deserve. A young airman from Hill AFB responds to her article below. He ought to get a bonus for this. "Ms Williams: I just had the pleasure of reading your column, "Our GI's earn enough" and I am a bit confused. Frankly, I'm wondering where this vaunted overpayment is going, because as far as I can tell, it disappears every month between DFAS (The Defense Finance and Accounting Service)and my bank account. Checking my latest earnings statement I see that I make $1,117.80 before taxes. After taxes, I take home $874.20. When I run that through the calculator, I come up with an annual salary of $13,413.60 before taxes, and $10,490.40, after. I work in the Air Force Network Control Center where I am part of the team responsible for a 5,000 host computer network. I am involved with infrastructure segments, specifically with Cisco Systems equipment. A quick check under jobs for Network Technicians in the Washington, D.C. area reveals a position in my career field, requiring three years experience with my job. Amazingly, this job does NOT pay $13,413.60 a year. No, this job is being offered at $70,000 to $80,000 per annum...I'm sure you can draw the obvious conclusions. Given the tenor of your column, I would assume that you NEVER had the pleasure of serving your country in her armed forces Before you take it upon yourself to once more castigate congressional and DOD leadership for attempting to get the families in the military's lowest pay brackets off of WIC and food stamps, I suggest that you join a group of deploying soldiers headed for AFGHANISTAN; I leave the choice of service branch up to you. Whatever choice you make, though, opt for the SIX month rotation: it will guarantee you the longest possible time away from your family and friends, thus giving you full "deployment experience." As your group prepares to board the plane, make sure to note the spouses and children who are saying good-bye to their loved ones. Also take care to note that several families are still unsure of how they'll be able to make ends meet while the primary breadwinner is gone -- obviously they've been squandering the "vast" piles of cash the government has been giving them. Try to deploy over a major holiday; Christmas and Thanksgiving are perennial favorites. And when you're actually over there, sitting in a foxhole, shivering against the cold desert night; and the flight sergeant tells you that there aren't enough people on shift to relieve you for chow, remember this: trade whatever MRE (meal-ready-to-eat) you manage to get for the tuna noodle casserole or cheese tortellini, and add Tabasco to everything. This gives some flavor. Talk to your loved ones as often as you are permitted; it won't nearly be long enough or often enough, but take what you can get and be thankful for it. You may have picked up on the fact that I disagree with most of the points you present in your opened piece. But, tomorrow from KABUL, I will defend to the death your right to say it. You see, I am an American fighting man, a guarantor of your First Amendment rights and every other right you cherish. On a daily basis, my brother and sister soldiers worldwide ensure that you and people like you can thumb your collective nose at us, all on a salary that is nothing short of pitiful and under conditions that would make most people cringe. We hemorrhage our best and brightest into the private sector because we can't offer the stability and pay of civilian companies. And you, Ms. Williams, have the gall to say that we make more than we deserve? Rubbish! A1C Michael Bragg Hill AFB AFNCC
