Ready for my next great adventure!

About Me

I am a certified personal trainer. I began lifting weights at the age of 14 to stay in shape for volleyball and soon added running to my repertoir. Three years ago I started doing yoga and Pilates. I liked these exercises so much I became certified to teach them and started classes at my gym in 2007. Earlier this year I received my personal training certification. I go to the gym five or six days a week. There are some days when working out is the only thing that keeps me sane. By the way, I also bench press 160 pounds!Along with personal training, I'd like to do some freelance writing. I'm most interested in writing articles on fitness, since that's my career. I'd also like to do some travel writing because I see a lot of interesting places and things during my travels on the backroads. In my spare time I rev up my Vento and hit Ohio, Michigan or Indiana's backroads for a good long ride. Nothing says freedom like two wheels, an engine and the open road! Travelling this way allows me to see things and meet people that I'd miss completely on the boring Interstate highways.

My Interests

weightlifting, yoga, pilates, sewing, drawing, exploring the backroads on my motorcycle, my parakeets Sassy and Snowflake, my 98 Dodge Dakota, karaoke, being an individual

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with a sense of adventure who can keep up with me

Music:

We'd be here forever if I typed out all the groups I listen to, so here in no particular order my favories genres (drum roll please!): industrial, gothic, new wave, alternative, classic rock, metal, 60's protest songs

Movies:

The Crow, Easy Rider, The Omen (I, II, III), Heathers, House of 1,000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, The Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon, Doomsday

Television:

The only shows I HAVE to catch every week are Desperate Housewives and Metalocalypse (Deathklok rules!). If I happen to be home, I'll watch The Simpsons or Law & Order SVU.

Books:

Stephen King can do no wrong! I also like The Feminine Mystique by Betty Friedan, Motorcycling Across Ohio by William Murphy or anything that has a good plot and/or is anti-establishment.

Heroes:

Me, myself and I
