Far too many to list, but here are some definites: Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Sinead O'Connor (single greatest, most soul-shattering voice I've ever heard), Rush, Leonard Cohen, Moby, The Cure, Pink Floyd ("The Final Cut" is vastly underrated), Peter Gabriel, Genesis ("The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway", etc.), Belle And Sebastian, Sunday Parlours, The Rolling Stones, Morphine, Cake, Primus, Bob Marley, Tom Waits, Antony And The Johnsons, Mazzy Star, Pete Yorn, Smashing Pumpkins, Prince, Soul Coughing, Metallica (pre-"Black Album"...I don't give a shit what anyone says, they went soft and fuckin' sold out), Otis Redding, Chris Isaak ("Forever Blue" is off the heezie), Tori Amos, Phil Collins, Depeche Mode, The Cranberries, George Jones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Black Crowes, Alice In Chains, The Counting Crows ("August And Everything After"), Bob Seger, 3rd Bass, G. Oh, and I can also wax-poetic on a whole nipple-load of 60's and 70's classic shit.
Movies are something that are very dear to me, what with being an actor, having studied years of theatre, and possessing a rather extensive movie collection (my current apartment is really just VHS-DVD storage). Hence, it would be next to impossible for me to even begin to narrow my favorite-movie list down to an even somewhat reasonable size. With that being said, it would be much easier for me to just list some of my favorite actors and directors in the hope that they will give you an idea of what some of my favorite movies might be. Now, since there isn't a "writers" section on MySpace and, obviously, there has been more written than just books, movies, etc., I will include my favorite writers of "anything" here as well. You will notice that some names appear in more than one categorie...obviously, that is because their talents have allowed them to embark on more than one artistic endeavor and I believe they have done them all equally well.-ACTORS-----Robert DeNiro, Billy Crudup, Sean Penn, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Campbell Scott, Robert Downey Jr., John Malkovich, Emily Watson, Sissy Spacek, Samantha Morton, Clint Eastwood, Charlie Chaplin, Harold Lloyd, Mark Ruffalo, Billy Bob Thornton, Anthony Hopkins, Robert Duvall, Zooey Deschanel, Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges, Ellen Page, Ray Winstone, Nicolas Cage, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Denzel Washington, Forest Whitaker, Giovanni Ribisi, Michael Keaton, Jason Patric, Jennifer Connelly, Dylan Baker, Dustin Hoffman, John Turturro, Jim Carrey, Bruce Lee, Daniel Day-Lewis, Ed Harris, Viggo Mortensen, Paul Giamatti, Roberto Benigni, Al Pacino, Johnny Depp, Tommy Lee Jones, John C. You're popular, confident, and you care an awful lot about your hair. You'd love to be rich and famous, but you're not interested in working hard to succeed...not when there are so many shortcuts available. Your crazy schemes probably drag your friends into trouble from time to time, but they put up with it because they love you so much.
So say you're a shingleback skink, and your family has a summer timeshare in Orlando or whatever, that you go to every year. On the day you arrive, you always go straight to the Dairy Queen where you know you'll see this one other shingleback skink who's your age. You guys are like two peas in a pod. Every summer you couple it up totally blissfully -- great companionship, you're both super into Metallica or whatever, awesome kisses, heart-to-heart convos, and it's just cool. And then at the end of the summer, you both take off back to your respective "real lives" with a warm kiss goodbye and a "see you next summer." It's not tragic or anything, it's just the life of the shingleback skink. You know?
Your kisses vary greatly, depending on whose lips you're kissing. Some people bring out your silly, flirty side, and others make you feel all shy and romantic. You're flexible kiss-wise, so you're not picky about firmness or tongue action. The act of kissing is all it takes to make you happy, so you almost never get critical or make demands. You just take a deep breath and let your lips do their thing.

TODD SOLONDZ
In 1972, the Venice Film Festival staged a retrospective of Chaplin's complete work, with prints from his own collection. On the closing night, his masterpiece, "City Lights" (1932), was shown outdoors in Piazza San Marco. The lights were off, the orchestras were silenced for the first time in more than a century, and the film played on a giant screen to standing room only. When it was over, and the blind flower girl could see again, and she realized the Little Tramp was her savior, there was much sniffling and blowing of noses. Then a single spotlight sprung from the darkness and illuminated a balcony overlooking the square. A little man stepped out and waved. And we cheered and cheered.
