its color was red and it grew by my shed
i watered it in the morning in the noon and the night
and as it grew bigger it was a beautiful sight
it lived through the summer and up till december
and then the snow came oh how i remember
The wind blew so hard and the snow came down fast
and i sat there and woundered how will the rose last
I looked out the window and saw the rose tilt
and then saw the petals beginning to wilt
i thought of the weather and it made me mad
but i saw the rose dying and it made me so sad
I watched the rose closely and started to cry
for as it grew colder i knew i would die
I sat by the window with my hands on my head
and when i looked up again the poor rose was dead
But when i think back oh how i remember
The day my rose died long ago in december!Dedicated to anyone who has ever loved and lost anything or anybody...
