Bill Ballenger was locked up at age 16 - a resident of White’s Residential & Family Services In Wabash Indiana. From there he would see freedom only briefly before heading to prison at age 19. Somewhere in the midst of his prison time, just as it seemed his path to ruin was inevitable, Bill Ballenger found God - or perhaps - God found him. After 2 years and a miraculous turn of events he was released early. Not long after prison and at the age of 25 he began pastoring an inner city church. He went on to leading worship services, holding prison seminars, speaking and performing as a Christian music artist.
Most recently he established "Teenrock" a ministry focused on Equipping Teens To Accomplish Their Dreams. Teenrock tours public school systems to promote right choices among American teenagers.
Since his release from prison so much has changed for this man as he has been blessed to perform 100’s of concerts around this nation along with appearances in Russia, China, and before an estimated crowd of 90,000 at the Indianapolis "Circle of Lights." Ballenger has went on to appear internationally on the Trinity broadcasting’s "Network Praise Program". And is a frequent guest on the New Jim Bakker show in Branson, MO, a broadcast that reaches over 200 countries world wide.
As a child of the seventies and eighties his musical influences date back to watching satellite concerts performed by Elvis Presley. While also desiring to share the stage with greats like Bon Jovi, Winwood, Skynard and the Eagles, Ballenger believes a true musician must respect the artistry from every genre.
His recent endeavor has been to reinvent his style to become lead vocalist for the Indiana based Rock band "Crossover"
"His world is forever changed, his heart forever healed.” And after several years of performing his concerts and speaking engagements his audience has grown and the potential to reach more for Jesus Christ is bigger than ever.
