i think i covered this already: gals, cars, music, movies & coffee.
anybody who like swing dancin', movies, rockabilly, pool, bowling, whatever.
rockabilly (johnny cash, carl perkins, big sandy, cave catt sammy, raging teens, royal crowns, rip carson, etc), country (the real deal like merlre haggard, willie nelson, br5-49, junior brown, lucky stars, not that achy breaky nashville shit), jazz (old school like pre-64 coltrane, mingus, parker, davis, not the kenny g vomit!), blues (robert johnson, ma rainey, muddy waters, john lee hooker), punk/hardcore.
too many to list. of course there's the original star wars trilogy, the leone westerns (fistful of dollars, for a few dollars more, and the good, the bad, the ugly), hong kong movies (legend of fong sai yuk, iron monkey, drunken master 2, hardboiled), samurai movies (zatoichi, lone wolf & cub), and all those film noir/b&w/classics (sunset blvd., double indemnity, all about eve, mildred pierce, citizen kane). i dig arty farty films too but i'm bored w/ the blind boy & his grandma learnin' about life, etc. ugh. i have a guitly soft spot for 80's teen flicks (i was a teen in the 80's so gimme a break) and i do indulge in the hollywood blockbusters.
i don't have t.v. or cable. i disconnected in 2000. i do miss the history chanel (mummies & shit!) & cartoon network. thankfully king of the hill (like a documentary of my childhood in texas), southpark & aqua teen hunger force are on dvd. i'm happy to say that i've never seen any reality tv or dating shows. crap.
i don't have much leasure time anymore but i've always liked the "classics" of western culture like "moby dick", "notes from underground", etc. i haven't read much contemporary lit but i did do all the cormac mccarthy books & absolutely loved "the crossing".
