SEBAB is known for his skills and lyricle deepness. I talk about anything and try to set up my lyrics consciously. That’s my sh**! On the other hand I don’t want people to see me as a politician. Also my raps ain’t spiritual because I think you can’t reach for something spiritual. I rather talk about history, science and philosophy. I read a lot of books about black culture, about the Islam, the Black Panthers and Malcolm X. All these things are interesting to me because every written word brings me closer to the truth. Of course I do not only listen to conscious rhymes, I think Hip Hop should be more multi-faceted; German rap as well as English rap and Tigrinya rap or any other kind of rap. HipHop is art and life.
