MR. KENNETH

Ken is a young, happy, married, man of GOD. He grew up in a small town by the name of Inkster in MI. Ken was introduced to music through drums at the young age of 2. He was fortunate to be able to develope his talent every Sunday morning during church service. At age 13, Ken landed his first paying gig; $35 dollars at St. Luke A.M.E. This was the first of many. Be it C.O.G.I.C., BAPTIST, CATHOLIC, SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST; Ken has played for every denomination under the sun. At age 17, Ken was exposed to the club scene. Trumpet player Lin Roundtree gave Ken an opportunity which turned into many weekends of steady gigs; $75 per night 10p-2a. After borrowing drums & hardware for a few months, Ken finally saved enough money to buy his own kit with cases. Never despise humble beginnings, was a lesson Ken learned early. Those long nights at the club payed off. Ken developed integrity, good listening skills, as well the ability to improvise musically. Those attributes paved the way for many other opportunities. Ken is currently on music staff at his local church, Straight Gate International under the leadership of Bishop Andrew Merritt. Ken also owns the Motown Hair Studio barbershop, as well as the position of drummer for smooth jazz flutist Alexander Zonjic. Some of Ken's goals include franchising barbershops nationwide, as well as signature hotels, and releasing many music albums.
