All kinds of Art, I am an art nut, I also love to read and write, as well as go to concerts, movies and theater, I enjoy long walks, biking and going to NYC for the cultural events, not necessarily in the same order. I enjoy fine dining or cooking. I very rarely drink any kind of alcohol. I occasionally like to play an adventure based video game. I am not a sports or Nascar freak but don't mind going to the events for the thrill of being there.
Like-minded people who are intelligent, creative, level-headed and positive. I also want to meet fellow artists and writers to share ideas and philosophies, I mean, lay it on me, I am not afraid to think.
All kinds, lately, I have been listening to a lot of ambient, but I enjoy alternative or experimental rock and techno as well as punk, psychedelia (no drugs, I prefer clarity) jazz, folk or classical. I have a wide variety of taste.
I have always enjoyed a good horror flick that isn't over the top gory, I like to be awed and scared, not grossed out. However, I enjoyed "My Dinner with Andre," the original version of "The Haunting," and anything by Coppola, Lynch or Kubrick, there's too many to mention. Alright, I really enjoyed "The Lord of the Rings," "My Neighbor Totoro," (with my daughter), "Forbidden Planet" and "The Seven Faces of Dr Lao" too.
Not too much, I get a laugh out of Pro Wrestling, don't watch sports unless it's the Olympics, I watch the news. Actually, I can live without TV, most of it is a waste of time. I would rather have the Internet.
Authors Charles Bukowski, Arthur Nersesian, Haruki Murakami, Jonathan Ames, David Sedaris, Steve Almond, Martin Amis, Robert Silverburg, John Updike, Robert Bly, Osho, Krishnamurti, etc, etc. Looking for more women authors. I love to read science fiction, philosophy, stories on contemporary life, essays, art magazines and poetry.
I have no present day heroes that I can think of, used to be John Lennon, but I admire anyone who overcomes great odds to achieve a higher goal, Victor Frankl, Ghandi, Copernicus.
