Sherry Joyce began singing at the age of six when she was "discovered" in the church choir and given a solo. Since then, she has truly done it all. She attended college to earn a degree in music at The University of Miami, Brenau University, and The University of Georgia. While in school, she took advantage of a once-in-a-lifetime learning opportunity offered by performer extraordinaire Wayne Newton. She performed often at The Burt Reynolds Dinner Theatre in Jupiter, Florida before moving to Georgia. Since her move, she was employed as a principal soloist by The Church of Christian Science, sang in a number of choirs, fronted a funk R&B band, and was half of a vocal duo in a classical-rock band. She has sung in a number of rock and pop bands and was the lead singer for both the final live concert performance and the CD recording appearance of ex-R.E.M. drummer Bill Berry upon his retirement from the band. She is working on a new CD for release in late 2005 as well as singing on a number of demos, commercials, and CD's by other artists. Her current studio work also includes doing voice-overs for documentaries as well as other forms of narration. She also stays busy performing live with two rock bands. She is currently recording four songs for an upcoming compilation CD called "Northern Exposure" to be released in Canada in September, 2006. UPDATE: Sherry just finished recording the soundtrack to the stage musical "The Kelly's Truck Stop Bop" which the song "Dreams" is on. Check your local listings for productions near you!
