Mortar and Pestle

we play how we feel and we kick out the moody jams

About Me

Thank you to all of the fans and friends, but Mortar and Pestle is throwing in the towel. It's been an interesting 4 years, and we love you all! In the meantime, keep a lookout for new projects.Joe now plays in the Greensboro band Embarrassing Fruits. (myspace.com/embarrassingfruitsband)Josh is working on material under the name Butterflies (myspace.com/butterfliesnc). It's still the awesomely catchy indie jazz pop of old.Pete continues to record with friends and if he ever releases any of that I swear you'll be blown away. And you can check out beautiful piano melodies and sassy vocals from K. Zick on the latest Trekky X-mas album. (www.trekkyrecords.com)Thank you all! XOXO -M+P
