The CricketSoda Myspace Editor! ..better to be an optimist whos sometimes wrong than a pessimist whos always right.I was born in Aberdeen on the 24th of January 1979 for a crime I didn’t commit and given the name Eoghain, Ancient Gaelic name originating BC in Ireland from Eogan "born of the yew tree": eo "yew" + gein "birth." Name of several early kings and saints. Earliest Saint Eoghan was a 6th C. bishop of Tyrone, and uncle of Saint Kevin. Eoin, Eogan. I gained it from my mother whose native language is Gaelic from Gairloch, Rosshire in the North West of Scotland. Couldn't spell the feckin thing till I was 16. Take a sadistic love of listening to mispronunciations on the phone mainly by annoying call centres employees. Although I believe most work is noble, call centres and advertising,,,, well I would rather have a pay check from Satan himself.Brought up on a farm in the North East of Scotland gave me not only the wonderful experience of enjoying the finer things in life but also the appreciation I hold dearly. Finer things experienced include; Fresh air, mountains, rivers, feeding farm animals at 6 a.m before school, delivering lambs, gaining a love/respect for mother earth, making big fires, making incredible dens, not having any neighbours within the nearest mile, swapping between living in a half built house and a caravan, pissing rain, severe cold, scorching hot days, buzzards in the sky, I saw a wildcat once, could shout scream and laugh with none around to say shhhh, danced in the kitchen to shakin stevens whilst using a live kettle plug as a microphone once and never again – will look out for that 1 with my kids, ouch.Of course love all my family dearly, although each of us entirely different in many aspects I adore every chance we get to spend together. Unfortunately this is becoming fewer. I think my parents will agree that I was a handful to rare but being the youngest of three they were more prepared for this. Dad: Harry, carpenter & building contractor part farmer. Mum: Catherine: Teacher. Sis: Angela. Bro: Roddy. Bro in law: Andrew. Nephew: Nathan, wonderful wee angel of a child.Moved to the big smoke of Glasgow at the age of 17 to study Architecture at Strathclyde University. The institution was grand, however I learned far far more from generally living on my own, meeting amazing friends, meeting incredibly interesting and talented people, meeting wankers, meeting lovers, experiencing things in the city I had never previously encountered.Believe my wide range of work undertaken through the years has stood me in good stead, including the following: Building labourer (when old enough to carry a brick), Kitchen porter, Bin Man, Landscape gardener, dyke builder, waiter, barman, council worker including grave digging, Rock climbing instructor in the U.S, Architectural researcher, Architectural Tutor, Nu Arts Tutor, Assistant Architect. Currently now working as an Architect for my sins with disillusionment coursing through my veins.
