About Me

I must stress that I signed onto this thing purely in order to check out a couple of music acts in detail. One of these is SAM HEARD who I produced a few demos with in my studio in West London. She is apparently working on an album at the moment. And neither am I. I produced an EP of 5 songs last year with legendary West London faves THE SEED who were absolutely fantastic. They split up acrimoniously 4 days before their industry showcase. It did piss me off at the time but there again you have to say, there is none more rock and roll than that. They were going places. Check out their MUTHAFUCKINDILDO MAN video on YOUTUBE. It is in appalling taste. I have recently begun work on some material with the bands guitarist SAM HEGEDUS as he develops into a solo artiste (this proves, as a good friend suggested, that one can reconcile optimism for the future with disappointment from the past). It is very English Rock and Roll, full of glottal stops and blistering guitar solos. He is sounding very strong indeed. A year ago I was fortunate enough to meet RUMER and she is the best singer I've heard in any number of years. No kidding, she is phenomenal and everyone who hears her is floored by the beauty of it all. Do check her my space site and listen to some of the songs I've recorded with her. If she doesn't become a huge star then I know nothing about anything. Here is my cv for anyone who cares.STEVE BROWN Composer/Musical Director/Lyricist/Singer.ON TV Written for HARRY HILL, ANT AND DEC, STEVE COOGAN, SPITTING IMAGE, LENNY HENRY, RORY BREMNER, FRANK SKINNER, ALISTAIR MCGOWAN, RONNI ANCONA, DEAD RINGERS, ETC ETC. My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'm extremely anti-social but if you're making music and you want me to hear it for whatever reason then befriend me. In all probability I won't comment because chances are my opinion would be irrelevant. There seems to be a lot of good stuff out there. These must be very worrying and competetive times to be young and trying to make a career in music. As Max Bialystock puts it "Who d'ya gotta fuck to get a break in this town?" Good luck.
