PHOTOGRAPHY, especially black and white portraits of women in unusual settings; Old things; Roadtrips short and long; Convertible Cruising; THE BEACH; getting lost; OLD CARS; Diner culture; Florida real or imagined with palm trees, flamingos, and margaritas; Western shirts, oldies, art, and offbeat outlooks on life.
Individualists. Artists. Independent thinkers. People who believe the internet is a tool, not a life in itself.I have something unique to share -- do you? I'll show you mine if you show me yours! (wink)

Gene Pitney, the Crystals, the Ronettes, and anything else produced with Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound." Bob Dylan, Tom Waits. 60s soul and less-overplayed Motown. Smokey Robinson's songs blow me away. Bruce Springsteen is the only Boss I'll ever have. 60s pop, British Invasion, and instrumentals like "Sleepwalk" and "Telstar." Pre-80s country, and shame on you if you hate all country except Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash.
40s-50s black and white drama, mystery. Sick-o family dysfunction drama. Anything that takes me away from my own reality and puts me into a dream world.

Kind of like my movies. Any absorbing fiction. Sick-o family dysfunction. Warm climate mysteries.
I once heard that we each need to be the hero of our own life. Well, this is what I aspire to, and in recent years it seems to be working out okay. Other than me, i would have to say simply friends and family who love, care about, and respect me for exactly who I am.
