The Chicago Shamrox Pro Dance Team is looking for energetic, talented, and attractive women to represent the 2008 Chicago Shamrox Lacrosse Team!!!!* Be part of the Hottest Dance team to Hit Chicago and the National La Crosse League * Perform at the New Sears Centre Arena * Appear on National Television and Radio thru out the season * Entertain Fans at Home Games and through out the Community * Receive Sponsor Benefits such as Tanning, Hair Salon Services, Work out Memberships and Personal Trainers * Make Friends to Last a Lifetime * Paid per Game Basis & Sponsor Paid Promotions * Be a part of the 1st Annual Shamrox Dancer Calendar * Star in "The Making of a Shamrox Dancer" to air on TV AUDITION INFORMATION: Open auditions will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at the Sears Centre. Registration begins at 8 am, followed by the auditions at 9 am. Be prepared to stay until the completion of the auditions. Register asap, spots are limited. Audition finals will be September 15, 2007 at the Bamboo Room. This event is open to the public. Finalist will audition in front of fans and a panel of celeb judges. YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO ATTEND BOTH AUDITION DATES. REQUIREMENTS: You must be at least 18 years of age by September 1, 2007. You must have a current photograph. This does not need to be a professional picture. You must have a completed application. Application is available via the website or can be faxed by request. AUDITION ATTIRE: The audition attire is a sports bra of some sort, form fitting shorts/dance pants, and comfortable dance shoes. *Briefs are not necessary* Come in performance hair and make up. AUDITION FORMAT: Registration begins at 8am. Auditions will begin promptly at 9am. Please do not be concerned if you have minimal dance training, as many times judges are looking for potential and great attitudes. Applicants do NOT need their own choreography. All materials will be taught at the auditions. It is best not to make any plans for the day as there is no exact time for the auditions to end. All finalist will be required to attend the mandatory Retreat Boot Camp. The retreat will include an overnight stay at the hotel, training, choreography, fittings, and make overs. Please note these may be photographed and or filmed for future release. TIME COMMITMENT The time commitment during the season is between 5-10 hours a week. May be more, maybe less. Rehearsals are currently scheduled once a week for 4 hours, however times and dates may change. The season begins with our opener in January 2008 and continues thru the end of March not including playoffs. On game day members are required to arrive three hours prior to the game. This is not a full time job, and most members are full time employees or full time students. The position is paid on a per-game basis.
