The Finnish band Morian was founded in the year 2002 by guitarist and songwriter Sami Niittykoski.
During the years 2002 and 2003 the line-up changed several times. They recorded a few demo CDs and also played some gigs. But in the end only Sami and bass player Jaakko stayed in the band.
They both knew some musicians who already played in previous bands or even together with them. The current line-up of Morian was created.
So Morian recorded their first promotional CD “Firewalkers†with four songs on it.
After publishing “Firewalkers†they made it available as free download on their webpage. The result: thousands of visitors from all over the world and countless downloads of the song.
Then, in Summer 2006, they finally signed a record deal with Dynamic Arts Records.
Meanwhile Morian recorded an album that will be published during this year and the first single “Away From The Sun†will be published 7th March 2007.
