Growing Up
Nnenna Lovette, born november 2, 1986 in west africa, NIGERIA. she is a woman influenced by many cultures seeing that her mother is british and father nigerian. Growing up in Nigeria was tough at times. EXPLOSIONS and GUN FIRE seemed to be an everyday occurance.She moved to london, england at the age of 10 and soon made her way to the states permanently at the age of 15. Having lived in 3 different countries and having to adapt to culture differences, Nnenna Lovette is independent, strong-minded, and READY to pursue her dreams.
Coming to America
Not knowing that her families "so called vacation" was a premeditated plan to permanently live in the United States, Nnenna boarded a plane from London on June 2 2002, not knowing that her life was soon to change. After she discovered that her life in london had come 2 a halt, although feeling lost and disoriented at first, Nnenna quickly accepted her new life and is now a permanent resident of the United States.
Music Background
Being very shy as a child, it was very rare to see Nnenna singing, dancing, or doing anything to bring attention to herself. Most of her singing was done in the privacy of her bedroom and shower. All dat soon changed when she began her freshman year at Kent state University, and became friends with a classmate. He convinced her to sing to him, and 3 days later Nnenna was introduced to local canton producer John Ramos. Here, she got her first taste of being in a recording studio, and soon after wrote her first hook. Word about her music spread around, and soon she was recording and making songs with HIGH BLAZIN ENTERTAINMENT mostly working with YOUNG SMOKE, DEZ DA REASON, NIVEK and DREKO. Being the only girl in a studio full of guys, being shy was not an option. She soon met up with THE LEAGUE and recorded Lately, produced by TEEZY. But music wasnt the only thing on Nnenna's Mind. She decided to pause her music dreams and focus on her education and dreams of being a Clinical Psychologist and one day owning her own private practise. She is still pursuing that dream and is currently a JUNIOR at Kent State University.
The time was right
With school as her priority, and music in the backgroung, Nnenna Lovette also started pursuing her interests in modeling. She became a promotional model for clothing line Hoodwill as an Ohio Dime model. While scouting for pretty faces to join the Ohio Dime team, she met local R&B singer LOVELY . She was impressed with her soulful sound and soon ventured with DILLIGAF records as one of her dancers, opening for Gucci Mane, Jeff Timmons(98 degrees) and Jeana Oteaga.She was surrounded by talented Mc's, singers and beat masters such as DETTI J L S, VICIOUS,MIKE-D,LOVELY AND, THR3FORTEEN which inspired her to finally go after her first love=Music.
