About Us: Welcome to the bandwagon. There’s room for everyone so get on board! Tailwagon is Kansas City’s freshest addition to the American indie rock scene. The debut cd "Radio Fly" is now out, and an infectious buzz surrounds this region’s hottest new commodity. Combining decades of professional experience and hard-earned fan loyalty as performers with numerous groups, the Tailwagon five are an exceptional ensemble making music to be noticed. Tailwagon is acclaimed vocalist Tyler Osborn, Walker “Daddy Rabbit†Tippit on guitar, Curt Rosy on bass, drummer Dave Jarman, and keyboardist Bart Colliver.Formed less than a year ago, songwriting chemistry demanded they immediately begin recording "Radio Fly" - where roots meets modernity. I Pod and antenna ready, Tailwagon tunes are polished nuggets of blues based boogie and street-smart bounce. The songs are crackin’ fresh while grounded in an American Roots music consciousness. It’s a killer blend of Rock n Roll, new western swing, southern gospel gravy, and Great Plains grit. Tailwagon is a down driver billed as a “Rock wagon with Blues hubcapsâ€.
Led by superbly skilled front man and songwriter, Tyler Osborn, Tailwagon flows and shows with palpable charisma. Osborn is simply outstanding. A stage virtuoso he throws with soul, passion, and pro pipes. Tailwagon’s style allows Osborn to shine with melodic sensitivity, rhythmic hipness, gorgeous growl, and tonal uniqueness. For a decade Tyler has expertly cultivated a massive fan base and modest indie career as lead singer for Rock group Under The Influence. Influence released five albums under Osborn’s InnerThump Records label. In search of new musical direction, Tyler enlisted the superb Walker Tippit, and went about forming Tailwagon.
Guitarist “Daddy Rabbit†Tippit is creating a reputation as a slinger standout with an extensive blues background. As lead guitarist for Chicago native and Kansas City legend, D.C. Bellamy, Tippit has been schooled in the blue underbelly and graduated with respect of the Greats. Walker can share the stage with all. He controls his instrument with economically tasty style and a cool touch.
Long-time session and Rock drummer, Dave Jarman, creates a percussion pocket as comfortable as your favorite pair of jeans. Alongside Curt Rosy on bass, Tailwagon rhythm rolls on a cushioned ride. One of the most sought-after keyboardists in the industry, organ specialist Bart Colliver completes the ensemble. Colliver strokes his piano and B3 with animalistic abandon and silky subtlety creating thick textural backdrops and smokin’ leads. Bart has recorded with the likes of Jimmy Buffett, The Nace Brothers, Hadacol, Monkey Boy, and King Alex.
Tailwagon rocks right – a cruiser built for comfort, speed, and the long haul. "Radio Fly" thumps and bumps with lustful smarts and heavy hooks. Get yourself slicked up and ready to show, because Tailwagon is hittin’ it! Jump on the wagon.
