Dr. Cox: "No matter where you go in life, always keep an eye out for The Tackling Alzheimer's Patient."
JD: "What's that supposed to mean?"
Patient: *flying through air* "WHO AM I?!" *tackles*

"Trust the instinct to the end, though you can render no reason. None of us will ever accomplish anything excellent or commanding except when he listens to this whisper which is heard by him alone."
--Ralph Waldo Emerson
"One who is injured ought not to return the injury, for on no account can it be right to do an injustice; and it is not right to return an injury, or to do evil to any man, however much we have suffered from him."
--Socrates
"The highest degree of meekness consists in seeing, serving, honoring, and treating amiably, on occasion, those who are not to our taste, and who show themselves unfriendly, ungrateful, and troublesome to us."
-- St. Francis de Sales
"Life is about who you love and who you hurt. It's about who you make happy or unhappy purposefully. It's about keeping or betraying trust. It's about friendship used as a sanctity or a weapon. It's about what you say and mean, maybe hurtful and maybe heartening. About starting rumors or contributing to petty gossip. It's about what judgments you pass and why. And who your judgments are spread to. It's about who you've ignored with full control and intention. It's about jealousy, fear, ignorance, and revenge. It's about carrying inner hate and love, letting it grow, and spreading it. But most of all, it's about using your life to touch or poison other people's heart in such a way that could have never occurred alone. Only you choose the way those hearts are affected, and those choices are what life's really about."

Other then Broadway musicals? ... Goo Goo Dolls, Nickelback, All-American Rejects, Three Days Grace, My Chemical Romance, Aerosmith, Evanescence, The Fray, Lifehouse, No Doubt, Lonestar, Rascal Flatts, Journey, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Shania Twain, and Jimmy Wayne.
And I'll only listen to music that I can understand the words to, otherwise it's pretty much pointless to me. If I really like the music and can't understand it, I'll look the lyrics up!
The Notebook, Life Is Beautiful, Love Actually, Kate and Leopold, Legally Blonde, Sweet Home Alabama, Patch Adams, and Conversations with God. I love anything with Reese Witherspoon or Robin Williams in it, and pretty much anything from Disney and Pixar.
Scrubs, Gilmore Girls, and Supernatural.
Pretty much anything that can be related to the subject of psychology, philosophy, and poetry :)
I LOVE C.S. LEWIS! But not The Chronicles of Narnia. Those don't really interest me. I love his books on Christianity. One of the most intelligent authors ever, but writes the British way, so I usually have to re-read a couple of times over. It's well worth it, though!
I also like Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Marie Claire, Complete Woman, Psychology Today, and Psychologies magazines.
Beauty may attract attention and adoration from strangers, but it doesn't guarantee anyone love or happiness. After being bombarded with images and ideas of what a woman should be, a strong woman is one who can look at herself in the mirror and say, "I prefer this". And if physical appearance is what we women idealize the most, it'll undermine our chances for serious, enduring, historic acheivement. We've got to remember (and, if need be, rearrange) our priorities here. Our gray matter has far greater staying power than our thighs ever will; it has the capacity to endow us - and the world - with joy, enlightenment, and influence well into our old age. So why focus so much on shaping our bodies when we can shape history?
