The Ragtimerascals is a Rockjazz band from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Combining Rock, Funk, modal Jazz and contemporary music, the band tries to reach a new and fresh sound by adding the sound of the clarinet to this kind of music. The band started as a clarinet, bass and drums trio. Later, Omar Caraffini joined the band, playing keyboards, and recently also guitar player Manuel Correa became a member of the band. Some of the band influences are Frank Zappa, Miles Davis, Fishbone, Funkadelic, Mr. Bungle, Yohimbe Brothers (Vernon Reid+ DJ Logic), a.o. The name of the band comes from a Woody Allen film, "The Sleeper".
