About Me

Tetelestai is a Greek word meaning 'paid in full'. Back in Bible times when someone paid off their bill in the marketplace they would run through the streets shouting "tetelestai, tetelestai" my debt is paid in full. When Jesus was on the cross His last words were "It is finished" or in the Greek 'tetelstai' meaning the debt is paid. He was referring to the debt for our sins. Jesus paid the debt for our sins in full on the cross.
I grew up in the Trussville Community, just outside of Birmingham Al .and lived in a Christian family with Christian neighbors. At the age of 7, I came to know my Lord and savior Jesus Christ and shortly after that, I was called into the ministry. I preached my first sermon at Trussville Southside Baptist Church at the age of 9 and again at 10. My life was moving along and soon I was a teenager and found myself running with the wrong crowd and I was exposed to drinking. At the age of 17, my Father passed away suddenly, and my world was turned upside down. I turned to partying all the time just to ease the pain. At the age of 20 I enlisted in the Marine Corps and the partying continued. One evening I decided to go out partying after work to some of the clubs here in the Birmingham area and ended up totaling my pride and joy, a brand new blue ford Probe Gt Turbo, Cut the car in two pieces. God spared me my life with no injuries; He had something in store for me. The officer on the scene knew who my family was and called my mother, who came to the accident scene. The officer was going to release me to her custody, but thank God, she said "Heck No" "Take his tail to Jail". I can never repay my mother for the tough love she gave me that night. That was a turning point in my life. A few years later, I was asked to speak to a youth group that I attended when I was a teenager at Argo Christian Fellowship. A few months later I was asked to become the youth Pastor of that church, and so the God started using me in a way that I never could have imagined. I left the church nearly 4 years later and have been speaking to youth groups and teenagers since. I never had a specific name of a ministry until I attended Birmingham Tres Dias (Very Similar to The Walk to Emmaus), and God revealed this new plan he had for me. It has been a year of preparation and prayer in order to get this ministry off the ground and I believe we are about to blast off. I have spoken to youth in 9 states and over 120 messages given. God has blessed me with a Beautiful Wife Kim, of nearly ten years, that I met when I was 16 at Hewitt Trussville High School and we have been together since then. Two years after marriage, we were blessed with our first son Dalton and two and a half years later, we were blessed with our second son Preston. My two sons are now 8 and 5 and are wide open with sports. Dalton, my oldest son was recently saved and I had the privilege of baptizing him. I have always been one who could run my mouth, but at this moment, I couldn't even speak. It was one of the most joyful times a father could ever have. I am currently working with our youth band at “The Church at Bradford Road" and will be going back to speaking to groups in the near future. I have taken some time off to worship with my wife but God is now calling me back out into the ministry field to speak again. If you are interested in me speaking to your youth group or your church, you can contact me and I will be glad to get information back to you "Paid In Full Ministries is non profit, and I do not ask for speakers fees. Transportation fees may apply if greater than 60 miles. I do take donations, which are given to various ministries, such as Alabama Teen Challenge. God Bless You all!! ..

My Interests

What can I say, everything. My passion is to minister to youth and young adults on the many pitfalls that satan throws in our way. The great thing is .. Jesus Paid our debts in full on that Cross and paved the way for us to have the chance for an eternity with him. Outside of ministry work, I love to hunt, fish, I fly remote control airplanes, I love to fly period. I love rock climbing, and love to play sports with my two sons. Kim, my wife always tells everyone that she has to take care of three children in her house, Dalton the 8 year old, Preston the 5 year old and me , her 34 year old. I have to admit that I am also a weather Geek. I am a weather watcher for our local abc affiliate here in Birmingham abc33/40 and serve as a sky watcher for the St. Clair county area. When the storms move in, I get in my truck and head out. To be honest, I am interested in everything but cleaning house, ask my wife.... HAHA

Music:

Listening to music is one of my passions. I have played the Guitar since my father taught me when I was four. I have played with many different groups and individuals. I am currently working with out church youth praise band. My favorite Christian artists have to be Casting Crowns, Third Day, Mercy Me, Chris Tomlin,Todd Agnew, wow, there are too many to choose from. The main thing is, they are all out there sharing a part of their lives to reach others in the name of Christ our Savior.

Movies:

There is no question that " The Passion" has to be one of the best movies ever produced. Its so hard to watch because I know that it wasn't just those soldiers that nailed him to that cross, It was my sins that nailed him to that cross. Other than that "A few Good Men", Jack Nicolson was great in that Movie. "The Truth, You can’t handle the Truth"... OOO Rahhh. Tombstone, “I’ll be your huckleberry" That was one of the best roles that Val has ever played. Sorry, but Jeff, one of my best friends and I can quote the whole movie. My wife cant stand to watch it with us.. We cant keep our mouths shut. Here is another one liner from the movie. "Why Johnny Ringo, you look like someone just walked over your grave". I could go on and on about that movie.

Television:

Not a big TV fan, but I do spend way too much time watching TLC and the History channel. My favorite shows have to be American Idol and Deal or no Deal. My son Preston can't be beat, he is the best at playing Deal or No Deal.

Books:

The left Behind series by Tim Lehay and Jerry Jenkins, and of course the only true book, the Bible. all 66 books...

Heroes:

My father who was a Birmingham Police officer for 20 years who taught me how to be a great father and my stepfather, who gave 38 years of his life to our Country serving in the Navy, for stepping in and helping turn me into the man I am today, and of course the best hero a man could have, my mom, she is the one who always had to put up with my drinking and she is the one who was able to teach her son a lesson in life and allow me to go to Jail that night. She is the true hero who shaped me into the Person I am Today. I love you Mom!!
