Randy

I tried keeping my feet firmly planted... But then I couldn't get my pants on.

About Me

I work hard and and play hard. I want to be productive, and I want to be happy and have crazy fun. I love adrenaline rushes, but appreciate quiet time. I work with computer code by day, and metal fabrication by night. I create... from web sites to race cars.

Sometimes I'm a nerdy dork. Sometimes a silly goof craving fun and laughs. Sometimes serious and analytical. Occasionally a bit stubborn and obnoxious. Usually pretty mellow and not overly talkative. Always caring and empathetic with anyone who is genuine.

My Interests

Hopscotch and jump rope.
Kidding!

Anything I can ride in or on; sports cars , motorcycles, mountain bikes, karts , rollerblades, jetskis, skiboards , wakeboards (and other things you pull behind a boat). I haven't tried horses yet (not sure how to operate the throttle).

Hiking, exploring, playing catch (especially frisbee or football), kite flying (the bigger the better! ), disc golf , geocaching , swimming, rafting, snorkeling, skydiving, playing drums, walleyball, most traditional sports (hockey, tennis, basketball, etc.)...

Working on mechanical things. (Especially if I can ride/drive them too!) Car or bike shows.

I'd like to meet:

Good people who are honest, smart, fun, playful, spontaneous, active, creative, thoughtful, ambitious, ethical, senselessly silly, profoundly deep, blissfully happy... Or at least those who want to be.

People who would enjoy playing catch or exploring an interesting place during a lunch break. Someone to teach me a new skill, or introduce me to a new fun activity.

Gender is irrelevant to me. But I'm just looking for carefree friends, not complications. I'm married and NOT looking for a relationship! If you think doing something together constitutes a date, then skip me now.

Random Stuff...

I LOVE Seattle summers. But by this time of year I am going stir crazy from so many straight months of cold/gray/wet weather. It's time to soak up some Arizona heat and sunshine!!!

Sedona would be nice...

Or sitting here in the warm sun with a cold brew after a successful geocache hunt/hike...

Seattle live webcam:

My "headline" history...

"If I had a Chinese cow, I would name her 'Moo Ching.'"

"I think somebody put a stop-payment on my reality check."

"I wanted to prevent my cough, so I took a huge dose of laxatives. Now I'm afraid to cough."

"I put instant coffee in my microwave and almost went back in time."

"I put my TV in my microwave so I could watch 60 minutes in half an hour."

"I had beans for dinner last night so I could take a bubble bath this morning."

Music:

Heavy metal to jazz, and about anything in between. Mostly rock, or a fusion thereof. The genre depends on the mood. Oh, except rap or country. Or opera... Never been in that mood.

Dragonforce, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Led Zeppelin, Ted Nugent, Chance Two (HAH! That's MY old band!), Vital Tech Tones, Whitesnake, Audioslave, Dave Weckl , Victor Wooten , Triumph, Larry Carlton, Loudness, PlanetX, Yngwie Malmsteen, Roger Miller :-)

Movies:

Action, comedy, some scifi.

Italian job, The Game, First Knight, Life is Beautiful, Beverly Hills Cop, Family Man, 50 First Dates, Transporter, The Notebook, Real Genius, Point Break, What About Bob, Worlds Fastest Indian, Dirt, Kill Bill.

Television:

Not much. Would rather do something fun or productive. But sometimes a good sitcom or Star Trek.

Seinfeld, Taxi, Friends, MacGyver, That 70s show, Scrubs, Monty Python's Flying Circus.

If you put a gun to my head and made me blindly pick a channel and sit on the couch and watch TV, I guess I would risk Discovery Channel.

Books:

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy. (Well, at least the first three books. Haha.) I usually end up spending my reading time in a tech manual though.

My Blog

I'm never going skiing again...

Unless "skiboarding" is not an option! That's right, I'm hooked on skiboarding. I've skiid for years. I've done some snowboarding. But I finally tried skiboarding for the first time, and it rocks! The...

Noonishness

Lakeside, sun glaring on the water, making the eyelashes move ever so close, close enough to blur reality and see things differently. Stick figures changing shapes as they move through the blinding br...
