RICKY QUINTANA

About Me

My name is Ricky Quintana and I have been dancing most of my life. I am a world renowned Choreographer and performer, as well as a world dance champion competitor and elite member of The Hustle Hall of Fame. My speacialties are Jazz, Hustle, Theater Arts and Salsa. I grew up in New York City, and first learned to dance in the clubs. I spent most of my youth at all of the hottest discos like Studio 54, Ipenema, Bonds International, The Garage, The Starship on 42nd St., 2001 Odyssey where Saturday Night Fever was filmed, The Inferno, The Lime Light when it was in the West Village, Palladium and Roseland. Dancing at this time was unbelievable. All the dancers were fierce, and I couldn’t help but get hooked on Dancing for Life.I knew that street dancing wasn’t enough, and so I began to get formal training in Jazz, Ballet, and Theater Arts. This is what led me to win the United States Ballroom Championships and to go on to represent the USA at The World Ballroom Championships in London England. My partner at the time, Lisa Nunziella, and I beat out fifteen other countries. I have appeared on Dance Fever, Star Search, Buscando Estrellas. I toured with Ralph Mercado’s Combination Perfecta, performing with 15 of the top Latin Singers for RMM, like Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, and Marc Anthony. This tour had only the best of the best. It was awe inspiring to see and hear all of these amazing singers, musicians, and dancers in one place. We performed in some of the great venues, like Miami Arena, Roberto Clemente Stadium in PR, The Hollywood Bowl in Cal., and Madison Square Garden to sold out audiences everywhere. They did a Video for this tour, and I also did a video for Tito Puente for the song Flight to Jordan. I performed in Latin Madness, off-Broadway, in a spot light number to Donna Summer’s “Last Dance”, with Stracy Diaz, to which we got a standing ovation every night. I also Performed in Got to Dance choreographed by Peter Maxwell , at the Shubert Theater in PA. Some of the people I have toured with include Brenda K Starr, Giggles, Corrina, and Fascination. I still choreograph for Fascination to this day. One of my favorite gigs with her was performing at Beatstock produced by Vito Bruno Productions in front of 30,000 people. What a rush! I have worked at the best dance studios in NYC, Paul Pellicoro’s Dance Sport, and Fred Astaire Dance Studio. I also have taught dance as exercise at Bally’s Total Fitness, Platinum Fitness, and B.Q.E. Fitness, because I believe Dance is good for your Mind, Body, and Soul. I enjoy teaching couples and singles the beauty of dancing, and I believe anyone can learn to dance no matter what their age or level. Dancing has changed my life, and it can change your’s too. If you want to learn to dance and have fun doing it, drop me a line. I’d love to teach you. Peace, Ricky Quintana

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet people who have the same passion for dance as I do. You don't have to be a professional, you just need to know how to have a good time. As a dancer I have seen enough drama for a lifetime, so if you want to dance and have the best time of your life drop me a line
