Kendra "GIA" Hutchins born to Beryl Lewis and Ray Hutchins Sept. 17 1986 at St. Joesph's women's hospital in West Tampa. At the age of 6 Gia and her mother moved into the North Boulevard Projects. While living there she witness her first riot. A black teenage guy was shot in the head by the imfamous Tampa Police Dept. Even as a child Gia promished herself that she would always be real to herself and race. The jamaican and black singer started her career in the church choir at the age of 9. Gia first got in the studio at the age of 11 when her and her friends started their group Xplore. In 2000,while in middle school Gia and family fisrt lived out of their car for a couple of months before they moved into a homeless shelter. In HIgh school Gia attended Blake HIgh of the performing Arts in downtown Tampa. There Gia was President of her Senior class and graduated with a 5.03 GPA. Eventhough she accomplishe many academic achievements, at home everything was going bad. Many nights her family would come home and the lights would be off. Gia would have to read to younger sister Kynesha Hutchins under the light of candals. But just like the strong female she is, Gia continued on with her academics by attending HAMPTON UNIVERSITY for one semester then due to family problems Gia came back to her home town where she now attends USF. "EVERYTHING THAT IS STREET, I HAVE DONE & EVERYTHING THAT IS TRUE LOVE IM SEARCHING FOR", STATES GIA JANE!!!! Gia is currently working on cd and living on her own.
