Starting out in the music business in 1995 as hired security for the likes of Mariah Carey, Aaliyah, Mike Tyson, Michael Jordan, Diddy, Foxy Brown, Jay-Z, Michael Jackson, and many more. Handling and taking care
of A-List celebrities, it wasn't long before these very same acts started realizing that their security guard was more than just muscle. Observing every executive move made, clients soon started asking "Big Joe" for input. "I am where I am today because, I paid close attention to the business deals and decisions my former clients made while I headed up their security teams" recalls Big Joe.
Stepping into the management arena in 1999 with dreams of expanding his territory, Diddys R&B group Total took a leap of faith with "Big Joe" and signed him as their Manager. Taking the learning experiences from his security position, he then applied them to his new title as manager. Selling well over 1 million copies of their debut album, it was evident that his years of listening and learning paid off.

Excuses and explanations are not a part of my makeup" Taking notice of his ability to get the job done with simplicity, the world of "Big Joes" business tactics soon caught on like a wild fire and the rest is history.
In 2000, "Big Joe" opened the doors to his very own, New Era Management, a full service artist booking and management company. Managing clients such as Platinum Recording Artists CamRon, Juelz Santana, Mya, and Nicole Wray. "Big Joe" is responsible for the overall success of his acts, from handling the day to day business of his artists to the securing of endorsement deals. "Big Joes" creative knack for maximizing the success of his clients is truly his calling. Generating over 25 Million Dollars for his artists since his companys inception, the proof
is in the pudding "Big Joe" DELIVERS.
Booking established artists such as Keyshia Cole, BG, The Young Gunz, Mario Winans, Memphis Bleek, and more, has created an additional platform to expand his ability to produce huge concerts, and private events.
Now regarded as not just an average tastemaker in the music business, "Big Joe" is a trendsetter. He is currently consulting for the likes of R&B group 112 and he has previously consulted for the likes of Roc A Fella Records, Bad Boy, Def Jam, SONY, and lets not forget NY METS Player Mo Vaughn who once bonused "Big Joe" a Christmas check in the amount of $250K for his hard work.
In early 2005, "Big Joe's" New Era Entertainment, Inc. partnered with companies like Koch Records, Def Jam, Asylum Records, Image, and other Companies to set up joint ventures for his artist. "Big Joe" has inked deals grossing over 75 million for his artists in 2005 alone. He has also closed deals for sports moguls in the basketball, football and boxing fields. "Big Joe" is also responsible for Cam'ron & The Diplomats Sizzurp purple punch deal. "Big Joe's" management skills have also allowed him to expand his business to becoming a real-estate tycoon.
