Hana

**I’m Hana. I’m 24 and my future is still in the making. I’m a full time student and will probably be in school for the next 10 years working ..ing up my undergrad and then my graduate work. I want my Masters and eventually my PhD. I’m a double major in history and women studies and I love it. I want to be a professor of history and teach abroad in Europe and Australia. My friends always tease me that Ill be the professor handing out A+’s for “special and personal” tutoring sessions. Maybe. I don’t deny the possibilities.
**I love books. I work in a bookstore and I can work 7 days a week and be happy there. There is something about being surrounded by books all the time. It makes me happy, fills a void. I would love to own a bookstore one day – preferably one where there is fondue as well as books. In a nice sleepy town, maybe in New Hampshire so Ray can come and visit. Ray is my buddy. He’s gay and he lives in New Hampshire where there are no gay bars for him to go to. He travels an hour north to Massachusetts or an hour south into Connecticut to go out. He says that there are tons of gay bars in Mobile, Alabama. Ray is my friend that I made when I went to see RENT with the Fab5. I’ve never seen Ray again and I miss Ray.
**I am a RENTHEAD, I’ve seen it 10 times and hope to see it 10 more at least. Next stop: LIFECAFE with the Fab5. (Yes Kelli – Another city expedition. You’ll love it.)
**So yeah, I’m a bookworm and friggen proud of it. I read a lot. I read everything. Although if I had to choose something, it would most likely be a trashy romance novel, or a suspenseful novel with tons of romance in it. I love those. I don’t care, go ahead and laugh. Done laughing yet? My bookstore will have the most extensive and widespread romance section ever known to man. It’ll be so well-known up and down the East Coast because of my romance section. Authors will vie and battle to come do signings at my little bookstore in some sleepy town.
**I would also like to be a human’s rights delegate, travel to places on my off time, like through the summer, visiting and helping and doing what I can. I want to o to out of the way spots, not exactly touristy places. I’m hoping to start this summer in Bosnia or Rwanda, but we’ll see.
**I love books but don’t get it twisted – I fuck shit up on a dance floor. I love to dance and go out places. I make anywhere I go a dance floor – whether it’s a friend’s house with a radio or DiCarlo’s with Erin where we hold drunken salsa dancing and we OWN the jukebox after karaoke leaves. I have a good time, I make a good time, wherever I do, whomever I am with. A girl just wants to have fun (Thanks Cyndi Lauper!)
**I’m Albanian and proud of it although I sometimes hate the bullshit that comes along with it. I love the culture, I love the music. I hope to study abroad in Kosovo in the years to come. I’d love to be involved in helping rebuild Kosovo and attaining and managing its own independence.
**I’m very lucky in the people I have in my life. I’ve got a great, crazy, fun strong family. My parents are hysterical and so strong together, they make me cry. I have two older brothers and I believe that every girl should have older brothers growing up, I was so lucky. We didn’t always get along but now that we’re older and more mature we’re good together and I wouldn’t change them for the world. I’ve got one crazy wild little sister who will keep me young at heart forever.
**I’ve got My Girls. We’ve been going strong since middle school and although some are married, some are getting married, others are pursuing life long dreams, we’re all busy with our lives I know that no matter what they will be there forever and NOTHING will change that or com between that.
**I have a few friends who have made indelible marks on my life and heart - Charleen, Nick and Kelli – Some of the most intelligent people I have ever met, funniest people I will ever know who can pull smiles from me when they’re stuck behind tears, angst and pain. They have places in my heart and on my soul that will not and could not be replaced by anyone or anything.
