About Me

I am a geeky social butterfly that prefers to keep my feet on the ground. I am a conservative liberal. I am an open book of secrets. I am a creature of habit that keeps to the paved roads while searching for those less traveled. I am a Windows XP user that loves Linux. I am an extrovert that believes he's an introvert. I am a calculating risk taker that loves Guinness. I am a sandal wearing office professional. I am a son of Napster, living in a world cloaked with DRM. I am a technocrat that is too dependent on technology.
I am a perfectionist that is less than perfect. I am an aging X-Gen'er that is stuck in the iPod Generation. I love to sit at home, but tend to travel more than not. I live my life day to day, but like to look in the past for guidance on the future. I am a simple person with special complexities. I am an intelligence loving simpleton of sorts. I am a laid back hyperactive. I sleep with one eye closed and one on the world .

My Interests

Great food, great movies, great drinks and great friends. The normal stuff.
I worked in the coffee industry for many years during college. So, I guess you could call me a recovering coffee snob. Now I spend my days breaking software and writing reports....the life of a security professional.

Most computer geeks like the same type of stuff. Here is the quick & dirty - cars, computers / gadgets, drinking, poker / gambling, lock picking / safe cracking, foreign food, classic old movies and any object that contains lights and/or a computer chip that can be taken apart.

I have two turntables and a microphone. I spin vinyl (sometimes CDs) when I can and read in my free time as much as possible. I would like to start playing golf again because I figure it is something I can do to pass the time when I get old. I don't believe in keeping score, it just kills the game...

I'd like to meet:

Cool people that aren't shallow, have a good sense of humor, and aren't sheep. Is that asking too much?

Anyone that is left-handed. There aren't many of us around, so we have to stick together against those damn crazy left-brainers ...lol
