About Me

About Me

I'm on the home stretch to thirty but it doesn't really bother me. Much. :) I have decided to return to school in my spare time because, since I have achieved the career goals I set myself three years ago, it's time to set new goals and achieve those! I have always wanted to be somebody and I am working hard to make that possible. My dream is to be an Information Technology Project Manager or open my own marketing firm. Those probably sound like the nerdiest jobs ever but I think it will be an awesome experience. Technology is such an important part of our lives and I want to head up teams that make the technological conveniences in your lives possible!

Aside from my career goals, I have some other important goals I am working on. One goal is another area where I hope to make a difference. I am a member of the board of a non-profit organization that just got it's start. It is called SIFUA and they have a group right here on MySpace. Just check out my groups to see what it's about. I feel it's important that we get our heads back up in the clouds and start exploring the resources of space. There are so many opportunities out there that we haven't tapped into. It's time we did!

My personal goals include a self-improvement movement that I've been working on for a few years now. My next goal is to get into better shape. I recently joined the gym and have been working on a program with a personal trainer. I'm also working on eating healthier food choices.

I would love to meet new people, especially in the Des Moines area, so if you're interested in getting to know me, let me know!

Movies:

First of May

VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED - "First of May" is a song that celebrates the coming of spring... by doin' it outside. This video contains adult language and situations, and cartoon animated depictions of adult acts. If you are easily offended by such things, please be forewarned.Jonathan Coulton is a songwriter who releases his songs via the Creative Commons license, which enables projects such as this. Through his "Thing A Week" podcast, Jonathan put out a clever, creative song like this one each and every week for a year. Most of them weren't this dirty though.Mike Spiff Booth is a Program Manager at Adobe who thought this bawdy song deserved an equally bawdy video. The song at the end of the video is another by Jonathan Coulton -- "Not About You".

I'll get to this later or I'd be here all night.

House Pictures!

I finally took some pictures of the new house.  It's messy but I figured if I don't take some now, I never will.  They're in my photos here.

There's Only One Thing Better....

...than brand new dual 19" flat panel monitors.  And that would be if work would let me take them home.  I wonder if they'd notice if I did.
